In the always unusual 1A class, which regularly battles lower numbers and greater distance for travel, Fishers Peak teams struggled. La Veta (8-11), Manzanola (4-15) and Aguilar (1-11) combined for a winning percentage of .260. Primero, which did not field a team the past season, will join the F.P. fray once practice begins late next month.
Teams – Aguilar, La Veta, Manzanola and Primero.
Which playoff team advanced the furthest?
Unfortunately, no F.P. teams made it out of the first round of districts. Aguilar lost its final five games by forfeit. La Veta fell to Antonito 60-36. And Manzanola got drilled by Sangre de Cristo 73-12.
