I’ll make my rounds to try and catch even more new faces from different places but here are the others
Aniah Alexis Aniah Alexis 5'8" | SG Cy Lakes | 2024 State TX -5’11 SG (Waller HS)
Alexis has come in and filled it up immediately, that was no surprise to me after catching her in her school’s middle school tournament last season, I saw the potential and knew what I was looking at, and her performance at the Select 40 just left me speechless as she looked totally different from the club season yet it’s all about the fit and she is definitely on her way, mixing up a variety of moves combined with unlimited range, expect her to put up numbers galore
Reagan Jones-5’4 G (Northwest HS)
Jones created her shot, under pressure and understood how to use her athleticism to attack the rim and finish after contact. That wasn’t hard because her first step is hard to handle, even in the open court after a rebound or grabbing the outlet pass yet she has range so that really creates problems because if you play her too close, she can just switch on the turbo and blow by you. Couldn’t find anything on what’s happening in her high school season yet with what she has, it’s coming
Natalie Huff-5’5 PG (Clark HS)
Huff made her high school teams varsity and with seniors like PG Sydney Solitaire to learn from, she will be teaming up with other talented players including sophomore PG Ramsey Robledo over the next few years but a road trip to San Antonio is on my calendar. Huff sees the floor and handles the ball under pressure yet she also has a nice first step that sets everything else up for her as she avoids being trapped and understands not only how to attack the rim and finish but attack and dish
Addie McClain-5’11 F/P (Tomball Memorial HS)
McClain uses her body well, she rebounds and finishes but she also finishes after the lick and what I really liked was that she ran the floor on both ends and showed she could not only defend inside the paint but step out of it. She has the size and the frame, plenty of potential as well as the desire to want “it”
Alyssa Batton-5’6 G (Hutto HS)
Batton showed me a variety of offensive skills at the Select 40 and you’re always going to be ahead of the game when you can handle the ball under pressure, she can and when you combine that with her athleticism as well as BB-IQ, you’re way ahead. She sees the floor, she takes defenders off the dribble and finishes with contact, with both hands and evidently, she’s putting numbers, this week she dropped 19 in their win, here’s the link
