Nahndi Smith Nahndi Smith 5'7" | PG Asheville Christian | 2021 NC (Asheville Christian Academy, G, 2021) seemed to be involved in every play of the game whether she was on offense or defense. She was constantly tracking the ball on defense in order to gain the possession again. On offense, she was one of the main ball handlers for her team, and she controlled the tempo of the offense. She can drive against any kind of contact, and she does an excellent job creating space to show off her open shot. She also grabbed numerous rebounds.
Imani Wyatt Imani Wyatt 5'9" | PF Camden | 2021 State SC (Camden, F, 2021) seemed to be involved in most offensive possessions for her team when she was on the court. She was making some nice cuts to the basket to grab the pass and score, or she was running the floor pushing the ball up the court herself. She was constantly moving on defense finding ways to make the offensive possession for he opponents difficult.
Jayla Mosley Jayla Mosley 5'9" | PF Legacy Early College | 2021 State SC (Legacy Early College, F, 2021) has nice post moves inside making sure to seal off her opponent in order to get herself in position for the entry pass. She used various post moves like power dribbles to create separation between her and her defender in order to score. She ran the floor well making herself available for fast break points.
Taylor Sanchez (Providence Day, G, 2021) did an excellent job following shots using those as second chance opportunities to score off of put backs. She did the same on the defensive side of the ball making sure her opponents did not get any second chance opportunities. She also had some nice three pointers showing off her shot from downtown. She hustled after loose balls as well making sure her team had a chance to grab the ball.
El Ferguson (Providence Day, F, 2021) showed off her nice shot from all over the court, especially from behind the arc. She isn’t just a shooter, though, as she showed her ball handling skills driving to the basket. She followed shots as well grabbing rebounds to make sure her opponents did not have another chance to put up a shot.
