Top 2022 Point Guards In Seattle
5’8 PG Veronica Sheffey Veronica Sheffey 5'8" | PG Woodinville | 2022 State WA (Woodinville HS) – The lefty point guard is the total package at her position. She is strong, aggressive, has good speed and plays really hard. She can score from all three levels and Sheffey handles the ball well versus pressure. On defense, she can provide some issues for opposing team’s point guards with her strength and hustle when moving her feet laterally. Sheffey is under-recruited in my opinion and I have seen her hold her own versus some high major recruits, although she could be a strong impact player for a mid-major program.
5’7 PG Mackendra Konig Mackendra Konig 5'7" | PG Jackson | 2022 WA (Jackson HS) – A high volume scorer at the high school level! Konig can handle, score and really just get to filling it up when she gets hot from the field. On the club scene she plays much more of a point guard role and facilitates and runs a team well, as well as scoring in double digits many times.
5’7 Rosa Smith Rosa Smith 5'7" | PG Lake Washington | 2022 State WA (Lake Washington HS) – One of the most skilled players in the state’s class of 2022. Smith is so smooth with the ball in her hands and she competes at a good level. She loves the game and work regularly to improve. Her work ethic will help her at the next level. She currently holds an offer from EWU and deserves a good amount of Division 1 looks.
5’7 PG Keira Hanson Keira Hanson 5'7" | PG Issaquah | 2022 State WA (Issaquah HS) – A fundamentally sound guard that is capable of playing on or off the ball due to her unselfishness to setup teammates and then her outstanding catch and shoot ability. Hanson displays great basketball IQ feeding the post and relocating to create a passing angle for the kick-out three ball that she knocks down so well. On the defensive end, she is showing some great ability to stay active and pesky in the 28.5 League in Arizona. She is currently number two in steals for the entire league at 3 steals per game. Hanson is also a 4.0 student.
