Top 2022 Prospects In Vancouver Area
In this article:
The greater Southern Washington region has been consistently producing solid college level talent for many years. Oftentimes blurred with Portland, Oregon, just on the bordering state lines from one another, Vancouver and its surrounding areas have made their way into discussion for having some of the top players in the state in most classes. The class of 2022 is no different with 6’3 SF Drea Brumfield Drea Brumfield 6'2" | SF WF West | 2022 State #72 Nation WA leading the charge.
6’3 SF Drea Brumfield Drea Brumfield 6'2" | SF WF West | 2022 State #72 Nation WA (WF West HS) is not only the top prospect in her region, but the state for the junior class. It is really unfortunate that we likely won’t be able to get a junior season out of the 6’3 wing. She only gets better with more live reps and she brings a lot of versatility to her team with her agility, length, ball handling and outside shooting. A handful of Division 1 programs have already offered the junior.
5’10 SG Natalie Fraley Natalie Fraley 5'10" | SG Kelso | 2021 WA (Kelso HS) is the lone player in Washington’s 2022 class that is already committed for college. The future Utah State Aggie has good size off the ball and she is very skilled, with a good midrange pull-up jumper. The Kelso High School standout would put together a very strong junior season statistically in my opinion.
5’9 CG Aniyah Hampton Aniyah Hampton 5'9" | CG Hudson's Bay | 2022 State WA (Hudson’s Bay HS) was a high level performer in her freshman season, but was hampered by injuries throughout her sophomore season. Hampton is a strong athlete and has always played with a lot of confidence on the court. She is far more under the radar with a limited sophomore season and no Spring-Summer ball, only to be followed by a potentially cancelled junior season. Nonetheless, she has ability and will just need a chance to show it.
5’10 SF Jaiden Bea Jaiden Bea 5'10" | SF Washougal | 2022 State WA (Washougal HS) is yet another Bea to come out of Washougal High School. A wing player at 5’10, Bea has a solid offensive skill set with the ability to score from all three levels. She competes on both ends and comes from a basketball playing family that has passion for the game.
