The state is littered with talented ballplayers who contribute to their team’s success night in and night out. These freshmen have seen significant minutes, carving out a niche and doing the little things that have garnished them to being on the floor more especially in crucial moments. They have earned the trust of their coaches by the way they play, earning their stripes along the way. Tennessee girls basketball can be tough. These young ladies are showing that they are the future cornerstones of their programs for years to come, adding their name to a highly touted 2024 class.
Bre’Aria Cannon Bre’Aria Cannon 6'0" | SG Link Academy | 2024 MO (SG, Middle Tennessee Christian)– 5’10 guard who can do it all. Displays excellent ball-handling skills, has a knack for scoring by taking to the hole or shooting the jumper. She is a threat on defense where she can anticipate and react amongst the vets who play this game. This is someone to keep your eye on as she continues to develop.
Sydney Mains Sydney Mains 5'11" | SF Knoxville Catholic | 2024 State TN ( SF, Knoxville Catholic)– This 5’10 forward’s stock continues to rise. She is one of the leading scorers for her team night in and night out. She consistently gives her ball team a double-double every time she steps on the floor.
Madi Hawk Madi Hawk 5'10" | SG Jefferson Co. | 2024 State TN (SG, Lakeway Christian Academy)– This 5’9 guard is carving her name amongst a highly talented Lakeway Christian team. She is a dual-threat player who shoots the ball at a high clip and can get to the basket using a quick first step. Look for her to be one of the featured players in this 2024 class.
Carrington Jones (PF, Germantown) -This 5’10 forward is coming into her own during this season. She is consistently scoring and controlling the boards for her ball team. Look for her to become a force the more she develops and gets adjusted to the speed of the game.
Natalie Kaye (SG, Franklin Grace Christian Academy ) -This 5’7 SG came out of nowhere and is leading her Lady Lions team in scoring. She shoots the 3 ball well, and will not hesitate to get to the rim. She is active on defense by grabbing boards and getting steals. Look for her to become a threat to be reckoned with as her confidence grows and she plays more basketball at the HS level.
