Coaches, players, and scouts are frustrated to say the least. We all miss the gym – the smells, the sounds, and the excitement. We miss seeing kids make lifetime memories playing the sport they love. Let’s take a look at 5 sophomores that I miss watching play due to all of the delays.

Here are 5 Freshmen that I miss watching during the delays:
Isabel Lindo Isabel Lindo 5'8" | PG Williamston | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Williamston)
Lindo is a solid, and sometimes underestimated, player. She’s a very solid 2 way player and a high IQ player. Lindo is a steady lead guard that can advance the ball against pressure and set the offense.
Megan McCalla Megan McCalla 5'11" | PF Chelsea | 2023 State MI (2023, F, Chelsea)
McCalla showed a lot of versatility at the Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Top 250. She was effective both on the perimeter and in the paint at the event. McCalla could probably defend 3 to 4 different positions and scores in a variety of ways.
Maddie Petroelje Maddie Petroelje 6'1" | SF Hudsonville | 2023 State MI (2023, G/F, Hudsonville)
Petroelje should be considered a big time prospect. She plays with a fire that serves her well on the court. She’s a matchup nightmare because of her ability to play mismatches with her outside-in or inside-out approach.
Sarah Rambus Sarah Rambus 6'4" | PF IMG ACADEMY | 2023 State FL (2023, PF, Flushing)
Rambus became a national recruiting target over the course of grassroots season. Not only did she play at an extremely high level in the paint, but she also ran the floor and finished in the open court. Rambus used her length well on the defensive end.
DeAndrea Smith DeAndrea Smith 5'7" | SF Flint Carman-Ainsworth | 2023 State MI (2023, SF, Flint Carman-Ainsworth)
Smith absolutely blew up at the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250. She had a performance conducive to a top 10-20 prospect in her class. Smith scored from all 3 levels using a hesitation dribble that consistently created space. She was one of, if not the top, player at the event.
