Zakiyah Johnson, Shelby County – Johnson may be the biggest star in the class at this early point in the process. She already holds high major scholarship offers and could be in the mix for a high national ranking when they start coming out for the 2025 class. At the varsity level this season, she’s leading Shelby with 22 points and 16 rebounds per game while shooting 52% from the field. If she can continue improving her perimeter skills and become a more reliable three point shooter, the sky is the limit.
Halle Collins, North Laurel – Collins is a grizzled veteran at the high school level and seems like she’s been a known name for a few seasons now. She has also grabbed some early scholarship offers and plenty of colleges have her on the radar. After being at or near the top of every statistical category for North last season, Halle is averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds this season and shooting an insane 74% from the field. She’s a solid shooter but is doing a lot of damage as a slasher.
Leah Macy, Elizabethtown – Many expected E-town to take at least a small step back this year after graduating so much talent but someone forgot to tell Macy that. She’s having a ridiculous start to her season and her team sits at 6-0 early. Averaging 21 points and 16 rebounds per game, Leah has been very impactful on both ends of the floor and can influence the game as much on defense as on offense.
