Kendall Dieringer, 5-3 2022, St. Marys
It was a good month for Kendall as she showed a lot of improvement with her outside perimeter shooting and has taken on more of a scoring role this season. She is a good leader on both sides of the floor and her on-ball defense has improved also. St. Mary’s started off the season with a 5-2 record and Kendall was a key part in that success.
Sofia Houg, 5-6 2023 Van Wert
An up and coming young guard who h as seen her shot also improve last month, and she has a good future based on her effort. She wants to be successful and looks to take advantage of opportunities to do so. She also can attack the rim and get to the line. Small but intense player.
Mary Meng, 6-3 2023, Christian Community School
In December, Mary has set the tone for what she hopes is a successful season. She is a double-double machine scoring 18 and averaging 14 rebounds per game. She in an impressive offensive prospect and defensive is a factor altering and blocking shots. Quick and has good handles for her size. She can move well north-south and finish at the rim in transition. Complete player at both ends.
Cecelia Hilgefort, 6-0 2023, Cincinnati Turpin
The post player was another double-double staple with 19 points and 14 boards per game. She has seen her game improve with the ability to score in the lane, rebounding and has become an excellent defender. As she gets older and more experienced, her game will blossom.
Rachel Reichard, 6-1 2023, Cincinnati Turpin
A teammate of Hilgefort, Rachel is truly an inside/outside threat. She is sitting around 11 points per game after a good month of December. She has good range from behind the arc, or can get into the paint and finish. Every night, she is improving her game and is becoming a difficult player to defend.
Taylor Scohy, 5-7 2024, Bellbrook
This freshman put together solid numbers in the month of December and opened some eyes in the Southwestern Buckeye League with her play. Poised for a freshman, Taylor has been steady all month, averaging nearly double figures, but she does more than just score. She moves well and gets in position to be the most productive. I actually saw her in person last night and she just continues to grow her game. Solid on-ball defender. Bright future ahead of her.
