The updated class of 2022 rankings are out and the class is loaded with talent. In my opinion the 2023 class is both top heavy with loads of D1 talent in the top 25 and even top 50 as well as the deepest class. The talented class has tons of potential collegiate basketball prospects at all positions. Check out the updated rankings here:

In a class loaded with talent, you have to start at # 1 and Janiah Barker Janiah Barker 6'2" | SF Montverde Academy | 2022 State #3 Nation FL (Tampa Bay Tech / Essence) holds down the # 1 spot in Florida as well as the # 3 overall spot nationally. At 6’2 Barker is extremely versatile and can honestly play positions 1-5 but we project her to be wing / face-up forward in college. She is long, athletic, and has an extremely versatile skill set that includes excellent handle for a player of her size, a smooth shooting stroke, excellent rebounding and shot blocking ability in the interior.
Tonie Morgan Tonie Morgan 5'9" | PG FSUHS | 2022 State #18 Nation FL (Florida State HS / CFE) moves up from # 4 to # 2. In a class loaded with talent moving up 2 spots is not really a big deal as you can make a case for everyone in the top 10 to be in different spots but Morgan play during the high school season and her ability to step onto a college campus and be their starting point guard from day 1 as a Freshman is the reason for moving her up 2 spots. The skilled point guard recently announced her top 8 (Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oregon, Georgia Tech, NC State, Ole Miss).
Nyla Harris Nyla Harris 6'2" | PF Lake Highland Prep | 2022 State #34 Nation FL (Lake Highland Prep / CFE) recently announced her top 5 (Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, NC State). She is a skilled post player that can play inside and out. Post play and height are extremely coveted by college coaches and especially in Florida where a majority of the top prospects are scoring guards and wings, Harris is the cream of the crop. She is a strong, skilled big who can score back to the basket as well as from high post and on face up. She impacts the game on both ends of the floor and is a big time prospect with big time potential.
While number 1, 2, and 3 in the rankings are uncommitted, 5 of the next 9 players in the rankings have already made their decisions:
# 4 Kailyn Gilbert Kailyn Gilbert 5'8" | CG IMG Academy | 2022 State FL (Seffner Christian / FGB) – University of Arizona
# 6 Savannah Henderson Savannah Henderson 6'1" | SF Timber Creek | 2022 State #46 Nation FL (Timber Creek / CFE) – University of Central Florida
# 8 Jordana Codio Jordana Codio 6'1" | SF Montverde Academy | 2022 State FL (American Heritage Delray / Essence) – University of Wisconsin
# 10 Addison Potts Addison Potts 6'0" | CG South Fort Myers | 2022 State FL (Seffner Christian / Tampa Thunder) – University of Missouri
# 12 Stefanie Ingram Stefanie Ingram 5'7" | CG Lake Highland | 2022 State FL (Lake Highland Prep / CFE) – University of Central Florida
In between the committed players you have an extremely talented mix of guards and posts inside the top 12:
# 5 Sydney Shaw Sydney Shaw 5'9" | SG DME Academy | 2022 State FL (American Heritage Plantation / Miami Suns)
# 7 Amiya Evans Amiya Evans 6'2" | PF DME Academy | 2022 State FL (Tampa Bay Tech / Miami Suns)
# 9 Fernanda Ovalle Fernanda Ovalle 5'11" | SF Montverde Academy | 2022 State FL (Montverde Academy)
# 11 Paris Gaines Paris Gaines 6'3" | PF Jones | 2022 State FL (Jones HS)
