Darianna Littlepage-Buggs Darianna Littlepage-Buggs 6'1" | SF Classen SAS | 2022 State #24 Nation OK | 2022 Classen SAS F
A talented scorer, Littlepage-Buggs had an excellent night for Classen SAS, scoring 22 points to help the Lady Comets overcome undefeated Choctaw.
Littlepage-Buggs took the ball to the rack on her own with impressive consistency, although she was far from a selfish scorer. She displayed great vision for the floor in passing the ball among her teammates.
Additionally, she led both teams in boards with 13 to finish her triple-double.
Raven Jackson Raven Jackson 5'8" | CG Choctaw | 2023 State OK | 2023 Choctaw PG
Jackson hit an out-of-the-dribble triple to end the first quarter, tying the game. After that, hitting timely 3-pointers became a common theme for her.
She converted on four total 3-pointers Saturday night, including two more to put Choctaw ahead by a sizable margin late in the third quarter.
Jackson Transitions really swiftly from the handle to the shot, and she also has a shifty crossover to create separation in her catalog.
Trinity Gooden Trinity Gooden 5'11" | SG Choctaw | 2021 State OK | 2021 Choctaw W
The Rice-commit has outstanding iQ, as she scored creatively Saturday evening en route to an 11-point game for Choctaw.
She scored from the short-to-mid-range, primarily, as her crafty play bled into what the YellowJackets offense did as a unit. The centerpiece of their cohesion, many plays predicated on a Gooden scree, pass or post-up.
As a scorer, herself, she finished quite well through contact, facing up scrappy Classen SAS forwards and putting the ball through the hoop under pressure.
Jordan Harrison Jordan Harrison 5'5" | PG Classen SAS | 2022 State OK | 2022 Classen SAS PG
On one of the best player I have seen in a while, Harrison hased a down-court pass that was meant to get away from her, spun around and tossed a perfect pass at a sharp angle to Littlepage-Buggs to make it a four-point game late.
Then she finished at a tough angle to put Classen down two.
Assist to tie it.
An assist to take the lead in overtime.
This was the type of night that Harrison had, and she was remarkable in more than one aspect in her 11-point, 10 assist night. She is a remarkable passer, and it seemed that each possession that ended successfully for Class SAS had to go through her first. She also finished shots quite well out of the handle, utilizing her quickness to get past defenders.
On the defensive side of the ball, Harrison was excellent, as well, using her lateral quickness to keep ball-handlers in front of her.
