Freedom Paul VI (Recap)

Seeing games when we can, thanks to streaming, we were able to check out Paul VI take on Freedom (Woodbridge).  Freedom came out the gates with some fight taking a 4-0 lead in with some sloppy play by the Panthers forcing coach Scott Allen to substitute the entire starting five.  The Eagles had three pointers from seniors Keala Johnson and Fathia Akimyemi to extend the lead which they kept for the first five minutes of the game.  Paul VI returned their starters and Lee VolkerLeeVolker5'11" | SFPaul VI | 2021StateVA went to work with nine straight points and stepped up defense that didn’t allow Freedom to get the ball past half court in six posessions.  The defensive pressure continued to q 63-15 halftime lead and a final score of 110-26.
