Rori Harmon Rori Harmon 5'7" | PG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #12 Nation TX (Texas)
Harmon does things so smoothly and effortlessly that you sometimes miss a very important part of her game, she makes those around her better and pushing the ball while telling teammates to “run” falls into being a vocal leader. She directs traffic and gives direction in the sets, she handles the ball magically through traffic throwing passes on the money, and her mid to long-range shooting gives her numerous options, as well as attack and dish
Raven Adams Raven Adams 5'7" | PG Ridgepoint | 2021 State TX (Texas State)
Adams was key to her team reaching its first-ever playoff game and first-ever regional semifinals but her poise at running the one stood ut in the 5th grade as she just grasped things so quickly and when you show a high level of basketball intelligence at a young age to go with a solid skillset that includes the mid to long-range, things just fall into place.
Tymberlin Criswell Tymberlin Criswell 5'8" | CG The Village | 2021 State TX (SMU)
Criswell is a 2 that was transformed into a 1 and helping lead her team to a TAPPS 6A title was pretty impressive because being an effective point guard takes time when you start doing at, well in high school yet her ballhandling and passing, both under pressure, continued to get better and better and when you throw in she can slice to the basket from the wing and score as well as dish the ball…
Taliyah Johnson Taliyah Johnson 5'6" | PG Temple | 2021 State TX
Johnson is one of the most explosive point guards with the ball in her class and being under control going full speed and making pinpoint passes is what caught my eye a few years ago yet she keeps putting in work and mot only can she make things happen in transition, she’s solid in the half-court and what really helps is she can score, that keeps the defense honest
Gracelynn Alvarez Gracelynn Alvarez 5'9" | SG Heights | 2021 State TX (UTEP)
Alvarez is one of the best long-range shooters in Texas, her range is unlimited yet she understands how to get teammates involved and that helped her team reach it’s first Elite 8 in the region last season. Heights is still one of the top teams in the area, Alvarez throwing 30-foot no-look passes is just as exciting as her drop one from 30 feet, no exaggerating
R’Mani Taylor R’Mani Taylor 5'7" | PG Shadow Creek | 2022 State TX
Taylor showed me something few people could actually say and by few I mean me, seeing her in the 5th grade dribbling a ball had me label her #D1Lock yet I’m not a novice, yet seeing her play at an early age showed she wasn’t either. She got it early, doesn’t get flustered, and understands controlling tempo with ease. Passes are smooth and crisp, she just gets the job done
Ese Ogbevire Ese Ogbevire 5'7" | PG Fulshear | 2023 State TX
Ogbevire was added to the freshman watchlist after seeing her go completely off and it’s only snowballed. Baseline to baseline with the ball, no one is faster and she can zig-zag by defenders as if she was in an obstacle course yet no obstacles can slow her down distributing the ball, that includes going full speed plus she has range
Aniyah Sanford Aniyah Sanford 5'5" | PG Langham Creek | 2023 State TX
Sanford has shown progression consistently from when she was in elementary school showing she wanted to enter high school show she had it and she falls into the #sizedontmatter because she can play and since the game starts at the 1, as a freshman she helped lead her team to a deep run in the playoffs while this season, they remain one of the top squads in the area. She’s vocal, she sees the floor and she can score
Riley McCloskey Riley McCloskey 5'3" | PG Memorial | 2023 State TX
McCloskey was in the 7th grade playing up against the “big girls” when I first noticed her and of course I had to her name. Having already peeped her game, she keeps turning it up and watching her throw strikes with her right hand in traffic was enough yet she’s doing it with both hands as well as shooting the long ball, which was there already, but now the floater is adding to her artillery
