With the start of the abbreviated girls basketball season just a couple of weeks away, we decided to rank New Jersey’s best players. Normally, player rankings are done by class. For the purpose of this eight-part series, we grouped everyone together.

Let’s debate!

6. Aalyah Del RosarioAalyahDel Rosario6'5" | CTrenton Catholic | 2023State#5NationNJ, Trenton Catholic: Scary thought – the 6-6 Del Rosario is only a sophomore. She is the second-ranked player in the Class of 2023 by ESPN. She is a terror on the boards, finishes around the basket and is a rim protector.

7. Alexa TherienAlexaTherien6'1" | SFCherokee | 2021StateNJ, Cherokee: The 6-2 senior forward was the top player in South Jersey a year ago. The Boston University commit averaged over 15 points and nine rebounds and is expected to compete for player of the year honors this season.

8. Saniah CaldwellSaniahCaldwell5'8" | PGSaddle River Day | 2022State#52NationNJ, Saddle River Day: The junior had some of the best stats in the state a year ago. Simply put, she does it all on the offensive side of the floor and her defense is equally impressive.
