Here is a list of standouts this week in the senior class. Each one of these players had impressive performances that led their teams to victory’s this week.
C Allie Ziebell Allie Ziebell 5'11" | SG Neenah | 2024 State WI | Sparta | 6’0 F
Ziebell is so impressive on the floor. She utilizes her size and footwork well in the lane to intimate and dominate her defender. She’s crafty with a bag full of finish moves inside. She doesn’t shy away from contact and can capitalize on the free throw line. She finished with a game high 30 points in Tuesday’s win over Baraboo.
Lindsay Kirby | St. Thomas More | 5’9 G
Kirby put on an offensive show in her game against Racine St. Catherines. The senior made 5 three point baskets in the 85-59 victory. Her ability to square up and finish over defenders is impressive. She’s an athletic prospect who does well playing at a high level on both ends. In the win over St. Catherines, Kirby finished with a game high 33 points.
Torie Loppnow | Waterford | 5’11 G
Loppnow uses her height so well on the floor and had a terrific performance in her team’s victory over East Troy. She’s a three level scorer with efficiency. She finished with 26 points in the win and made 4 three point baskets. Loppnow is very athletic and has patience on offense- rarely making a forced play.
Chloe Sipsas | South Shore | 5’11 W
Sipsas was essential in her team’s win Friday over Ashland. In the 51-43 victory, Sispas led her team with 15 points. Sipas has a scoring mentality and is confident moving without the ball and setting herself up within the offense. She did a very nice job utilizes screens and using her strength to create position for a shot. She’s lethal mid range and showed glimpses of being comfortable beyond the arc.
Alexa Jarecki Alexa Jarecki 6'0" | PF DSHA | 2021 State WI | DSHA | 6’0 F
Jarecki is an impressive forward with the ability to play and excel at the guard position. She has great positional size to score the basketball at all three levels. A knock down and confident perimeter shooter, Jarecki made 4 three point baskets on Monday. In Monday’s 66-44 victory over Menomonee Falls, Jarecki scored a game high 21 points.
Anna Fahrney | Winneconne | 5’7 G
Fahrney had a terrific performance in a matchup against a tough North Fond Du Lac squad this week. A quick guard with a great feel for the game, Fahrney can knock down the three point shot and is consistent in the midrange. She went 4-7 from behind the arc and finished with 28 points in her team’s 59-50 victory.
Phoebe Frentzel Phoebe Frentzel 5'9" | CG Arrowhead | 2021 State WI | Arrowhead | 5’9 G
The University of St. Thomas commit is averaging 15 points per game this season. She’s an outstanding two-way talent. Her instincts on both ends of the floor make her such an impressive player. She finished with a game high 27 points for her team and did not miss a shot from the floor. She went 8-0 and also went 10-13 from the free throw line. and She’s such an impact guard and is absolutely ready to dominate at the next level.
Maya White Eagle Maya White Eagle 5'7" | CG Madison Memorial | 2021 State WI | Baraboo | 5’6 PG
A standout performance by the Baraboo lead guard, White Eagle did a wonderful job in her team’s victory over Portage. She is one of the best passers in her conference and utilizes her dribbling skills and on court vision to find the open man within the offense and transition. In the victory over Portage, White Eagle was on fire offensively. She attacked the rim well and had many finish moves around the rim. She led all scorers with 20 points.
Madelyn LeGault | Stockbridge | 5’8 G
The senior had an incredible performance against Aquinas this week. In a three point victory the senior finished with a team high 30 points. She’s a sniper from behind the arc. She can create a game for herself off the dribble- she can pull up and knock down the shots with consistency. LeGault is also lethal off the pass from behind the arc, she has a smooth release and is very confident. In the win LeGault shot 8-15 from behind the arc.
CJ Romero CJ Romero 5'3" | PG Brookfield Central | 2021 State WI | Brookfield Central | 5’3 PG
As expected Romero played a huge role in the victory over the number one team, Germantown. Her performance was impressive- she’s a floor general and everything a team needs in a point guard. She demands attention on the floor because she can score the basketball at a high level. She’s just as impressive passing the ball and finding her teammates open on a dime. In the win over Germantown, Romero finished with a game high 23 points. She added 4 assists as well.
Evie Dreger | Eau Claire North | 5’8 SG
Dreger had a fantastic game against Rice Lake on Monday. Her ability to remain up tempo and smart on the floor are very impressive. Dreger was consistent on the floor on both ends. She does well defensively and was an impact performer on the offensive end. She went 7-9 from the floor and shot 5-7 from the free throw line. In the 60-52 win over Rice Lake, Dreger finished with a game high 19 points.
Graysin Hartjes Graysin Hartjes 5'7" | CG Kaukauna | 2021 State WI | Kaukauna | 5’8 G
Hartjes is averaging 11 points per game this season for the Ghosts. She’s a play making guard with the ability to get her entire team involved and on the scoreboard. She makes the highlight pass but also has the IQ to score the basketball. She attacks strong and can finish against contact. She is confident shooting from behind the arc as well. In Monday’s win over Appleton North, Hartjes finished with a game high 21 points.
