Top 2023 Point Guards In Seattle
2023 5’5 PG Malia Samuels Malia Samuels 5'7" | PG Garfield | 2023 State #46 Nation WA (Eastside Catholic HS) – Dynamic is a perfect word to describe Samuels. Yes, she lacks size, but her game is big and she has proven it time after time. The handle, shooting ability, speed and defense is all there. She holds a handful of Division 1 offers already and will likely gain more as time goes along. A high major prospect in the 2023 class.
2023 5’7 PG Hope Hassmann Hope Hassmann 5'7" | CG Tahoma | 2023 State WA (Tahoma HS) – A super skilled and high IQ point guard from Tahoma High School. Hassmann has been one of the better guards in the state for some time now. She works hard on her game and it shows as she can score from three levels and is a constant threat from deep. She is also an unselfish player and just as happy to get her teammates easy scoring opportunities.
2023 5’6 PG Navaeh Talbert Navaeh Talbert 5'6" | CG Garfield | 2023 State WA (Garfield HS) – A strong and crafty point guard that can score and dish just as well. Talbert has one of the better floaters in the region and finishes with a soft touch on it regularly. She has a solid handle and can get her team into half court offense. If she gets to the point where she is picking up full court regularly and being a pest on defense, it is going to open up a lot of college opportunities.
2023 5’8 PG Kaylia Jackson Kaylia Jackson 5'8" | PG Eastlake | 2023 State WA (Eastlake HS) – Jackson is a fundamentally sound point guard that loves to play under control and get her teammates good looks. She stands at around 5’8 with a plus sized wing span that helps her on the defensive side of the ball. If Jackson starts looking for her own shot a little more aggressively, it will keep the defense honest and open up more scoring opportunities for her team. A solid all around player with more untapped potential!
