Top Performances:
2023 Forward Brianna Byars Brianna Byars 5'11" | PF George Rogers Clark | 2023 State KY is off to a hot start this season. She’s averaging 15 points and 5 rebounds per game and had a big game with 22 points against Paris. Her little sister, 2025 Ciara Byars is second on the team in scoring at 8.5 points per game.
2025 Leah Macy of Elizabethtown is having a huge season. She’s averaging 20 points and 15 rebounds through 5 games, all wins for the Lady Panthers.
2025 Zakiyah Johnson of Shelby County is having a very impressive season also. Johnson is averaging 24 points and 16 rebounds through 5 games.
2023 Anna Kate Drakeford Anna Kate Drakeford 5'6" | SG Mercer County | 2024 State KY of Mercer County is having a strong start, averaging 16 points and helping the Lady Titans to a 2-1 start.
Recruiting News:
Sophomore Kaela Ballard Kaela Ballard 6'1" | CG Portland Christian | 2023 State KY earned an offer from Campbellsville-Harrodsburg this week. Ballard also announced a transfer from Southern to Portland Christian this week.
2023 Abby Holtman Abby Holtman 5'11" | SF Ryle | 2023 State KY earned a scholarship offer from Bellarmine this week. Her second D1 offer, joining Northern Kentucky on her list.
Bellarmine also offered 2022 Kennedy Lee. Lee was previously offered by Niagara during the summer.
Career Accomplishments:
Congratulations to Henderson County coach Jeff Haile on his 750th career win. A tremendous accomplishment for sure.
Braylee McMath Braylee McMath 5'6" | PG Great Crossing | 2021 State KY of Great Crossing went over the 1,000 career point mark this week. She’s signed to Christian Brothers University.
