Willa Tokporo
Willa’s mobility as a big is about as good as it gets at this level. She moves well laterally and even in a backpedal, which allows her to make plays that aren’t available to a lot of players. She knows this, and tries to win with her athleticism maybe too often. A bit of of finesse and patience could go a long way. When she does not have the ball on offense, her only real strategy to get it back is to drift towards the ball with her hands up, but hasn’t figured out yet how to really move to get the ball where she needs it. Defensively, her off-ball awareness is much better. Her weakside help in the post disrupted several of Duchesne’s shot attempts at the rim. After a few errors by her teammates, she was there give a pat on the butt and some words of encouragement, which is always nice to see in a prospect.

Excellent post footwork and decisiveness are the pillars of Taniya’s success. She is hyper-aware of the position of her defender and where that defender’s attention is. She took advantage of her teammates drives on a few occasions by ducking in or relocating when her defender was distracted with the drive.

Avery Kallman Avery Kallman 6'1" | PF Gretna | 2021 State NE
Against Papillion La vista South, Avery had issues shooting from the field, but she used her size to attack the basket and get to the free throw line. She scored 10 of her 18 points from the free throw line, and also managed 6 rebounds on the night. The senior also showed an ability to make passing reads out of the high post.
Emma Schweigart
The junior came off the bench for Kallman, and replicated her inside presence well. She doesn’t have the size of her teammate, but is more mobile and can defend in space better. She blocked a few shots that required her to slide and elevate quickly against a speedier perimeter player.
