Olivia Boyce | Carmel Christian | G
Boyce is a dynamic guard who can score at all three levels. She can score through transition making old fashioned three point plays, and she can score three from behind the arc. She runs the floor well making sure she can score in transition or prevent her opponents from scoring on fast breaks. Even as a young player, she shows leadership with her high school team already, so I am sure that her ability to play aggressively on both ends of the court will help her Lady Attack Elite teammates be successful.
Riley Smith | Marvin Ridge | G
If you are looking for a speedy guard who knows how to use her fundamentals consistently, this is your guard. She is fast when handling the ball, and that speed is seen on defense with the way she can come out of nowhere to grab steals. She pushes the ball up the court, but she also knows when to be smart and pull the ball back. Her vision of the court is very good with the way she finds her open teammates. She is certainly an asset for this team.
Emma Phibbs | Metrolina Christian | G
Phibbs is a versatile guard with her ability to make plays in the paint. She can score against contact and handle the ball well under pressure converting old fashioned three point plays. She runs the floor well with the ball pushing it up and looking for her open teammates, and she made herself available for passes in transition if she didn’t need to handle the ball. She can crash the boards bringing down rebounds for her team as well.
Bella Sarcona | Weddington | G
Sarcona’s abilities on the court go beyond ball handling. She certainly causes problems on defense telegraphing where the passes may be going to grab them for steals. Don’t be surprised to see her have some blocks as well. She can show off her shot from behind the arc or drive the ball to the basket. She keeps her head on a swivel constantly looking for her teammates to make some nice passes to in order for them to score.
Ashley Fowler | Davidson Day | G
It became evident this was a player who should be on your radar when she scored 32 points in a game this season for her high school, and she is pretty consistent with scoring in the double digits. She has a nice stroke that she can show off from all over the court. Points aren’t the only thing she likes to contribute as she is also a leader in rebounds and assists.
Lindsey Avant | Sun Valley High | G
Avant is someone who seems to be able to do it all on the court. She can shoot the ball from everywhere, and she crashes the boards hungry for a rebound. Her IQ is on display each time she steps on the court, especially when defenders think they have broken down the play. She can come out of nowhere putting the ball up for a jump shot.
Tatum Postel | Catawba Ridge | G
You can simply tell Postel is a shooter every time she gets the ball as she is always ready to show off her stroke. She does a great job moving around the arc finding the gaps to show off her three point shooting. She can also drive in the paint using her length to score over opponents. Her height causes issues on defense for her opponents, too, as she can cause deflections and grab steals to take the other way.
Zahra Douglas | Marvin Ridge | F
Douglas has been balling this year for her high school team dropping over 20 points in multiple games and even hitting a game winning bucket. It is common to see her grab rebounds for her team whether she is scoring second chance points or ending the possession for her opponents. As a young player, she certainly has a bright future ahead of her.
Natalie Roper | Providence Day | F
Roper is a force to be reckoned with in the paint, and she usually gets her way. She is great at blocking shots, and she can turn many of these blocks into steals that are then pushed the other way for her team. Her tall presence is an asset in the paint for her to show off some moves in order to score.
Sarah Evans | Ardrey Kell | F
Evans uses every bit of her 5’10” frame to wreak havoc on opponents when she steps on the court. She can grab rebounds for her team on both ends of the court. She is aggressive when playing inside having her way in the paint to make sure she can score, and she knows how to defend the paint so others cannot score against her. To show off her jump shot, she can handle the ball well creating separation between her and her defender.
