Kate McArdle | Charlotte Catholic | G
McArdle shows her versatility on the court each time she gets to play. She can essentially guard all five positions on the court. She is aggressive with the ball and fights through contact to score. Her ability to follow shots allows for her to grab rebounds consistently. On defense, she is a lockdown opponent making it difficult for anyone to score around her.
Delanie Hill Delanie Hill 5'7" | CG Providence | 2024 State NC | Providence | G
There is a reason Hill is already a starter for Providence as she is dynamic when handling the ball, and she is certainly a good shooter from all over the court including behind the arc. That is evident by the way opposing coaches yell “shooter” every time she gets the ball. She does a great job seeing the floor making sure to get passes to her teammates, and she controls the tempo of the game by letting plays develop and understanding the best areas for her to be in order to make a play.
Lilian Booker | Providence | G
Booker is someone who can easily take over games when her team needs it most. She can push the ball up the court controlling it from end to end with ease while weaving in and out of her opponents. She drives through contact showing that she can score through anything. She isn’t only a scoring guard, though, as she can certainly make nice passes to her teammates to get them involved showing that she always has her head on a swivel.
Samantha Meyers | Northwest Cabarrus | SG
Meyers may be just starting her high school career, but she could probably lead a shooting clinic with her abilities from behind the arc. She isn’t just a shooter as she knows how to handle the ball well even when pressured and fighting through contact. She does a great job finding the gaps in the defense looking for the open areas, and she runs the floor well making sure she is available for fast breaks.
Olivia Burke Olivia Burke 5'8" | CG Porter Ridge | 2024 State NC | Porter Ridge | SG
Burke is another great shooter for this team. Currently, she is averaging over 20 points a game for her high school team scoring on all levels. Her IQ is already high at such a young age knowing where to move with the ball or how to make nice passes into her teammates to get them involved in the play. She controls the tempo of the game. Besides scoring, she crashes boards looking for rebounds to help continue the possession for her team or end the possession for her opponents. She is certainly a fun player to watch.
Jerin Truesdale Jerin Truesdale 5'9" | SF Myers Park | 2024 State NC | Myers Park | PF
Truesdale is a dynamic player who can do a little bit of everything. She can be a power house around the basket making post moves to score and grabbing rebounds for her team. Offensive rebounding is certainly something she is good at as she looks for those second chance opportunities. When she isn’t close to the basket, she does a great job handling the ball, and she knows how to separate herself from her opponents. On the defensive side of the ball, she shows off her IQ acting as if she knows what the offense is going to try to do making it easy for her to come up with some steals.
Blanca Thomas Blanca Thomas 6'5" | C Charlotte Catholic | 2024 State NC | Charlotte Catholic | C
Standing at 6’5” Thomas is every college coach’s dream, and she already has the offers to prove that. She does a great job positioning herself to get the best entry pass and score, and she can certainly grab rebounds for her team. She seems to get more and more comfortable with contact and using her feet to get more power in the post. Her stat sheets seem to come close to a triple-double each time with points, rebounds, and blocks.
Gracynn Gough | Charlotte Catholic | F
Gough is another tall and long athlete who knows how to bully her way in the post. She fights for every rebound, and she pushes around her defenders until she has the position that she wants on the block. She is strong possessing the ball, and she has an arsenal of post moves that she uses to score including spin moves and up and under. She is another athlete who knows how to score second chance points by fighting for offensive rebounds.
Hannah Waddell | East Rowan | G
Waddell is already putting in some big minutes for her high school team and rightfully so coming off a year where she was the female athlete of the year for her middle school. She is scoring when her team needs it most even leading a comeback with 15 points that just came up short in a game against South Iredell. She does a great job moving around with and without the ball to make sure she is an asset on the court.
Chloe Moss Chloe Moss 5'11" | PF Independence | 2024 State NC | Independence | F
Moss is one of the most fluid moving forwards at her age, especially when she is handling the ball. This makes her a threat in all areas of the court as she can blow by defenders or even put them on a spin cycle to get by them. She can push the ball up the court herself after grabbing rebounds or even steals. When she doesn’t have the ball herself, she is moving her opponents wherever she wants fighting for position to grab the rebound or score some points.
Kamryn Kitchen | Sun Valley Middle | G | 2025
Just when you think this young group couldn’t get any better, they add Kitchen to the mix who is even still in middle school herself. Kitchen already plays as if she has years of experience playing in high pressure situations with the way she handles the ball moving it up the court calmly. She sees the floor well finding her open teammates or even the gaps on defense in order for her to score or drive the ball. Her defense creates her own offense with the way she can grab steals and move it up the court in no time.
