Maddison Shaker, Needham, position G, HT 5-5.
Maddison closed out her career strong for the Rockets. Maddison is a very smooth three point shooter. Maddison had 5 threes in one game. Maddison doesn’t force up shots and shoots at a high percentage. Maddison has a nice follow through on her shot. Maddison does a good job holding her follow through, and having her fingertips high. A soft shooters touch. Maddison is not just a shooter, as she makes the extra pass and moves the ball well. Maddison has had 6 assists in games this year. Maddison has the talent to play at the next level. Maddison did well continuing the Shaker family basketball legacy at Needham, as her brother was also a very good player for the rockets.
Abby Altman, Newton South, Position PF, HT 5-11
Abby and her twin sister were a good duo for the lions. Abby is a forward who boxes out hard, plays well in the post, and can also step out and shoot the three. Abby is strong will always dive for lose balls. On defense Abby showed to be able to guard down low, and on the wing.
Jordan Bellot, Boston latin, Position F, HT, 5-9.
Jordan had a strong final season for Boston Latin. Jordan is a stretch player, who shoots the ball very well, and rebounds well. Jordan can shoot the three and mussel her way in the post. Jordan has a long and strong built. Her Highlight this year was when she had 18 points and nine rebounds vs Boston Tech.
Ava Vettraino, Needham, positon SF,
Ava was the senior spark off the bench for the rockets. Ava does what ever the team needed. Ava is a tough active defender. Ava does all the little thing and all the intangibles.
Lilly Adams Braintree, position G, HT 5-8.
This was certainly a comeback year for Lilly after being sideline with a Torn ACL Last season. Lilly who was an explosive guard, you always worry how injuries will affect that. Lilly showed no fear this season, still attacking, and going hard. Braintree started the season off playing a tough newton north team 4 times in a row, but finished the season strong. Lilly is a guard who is tough, and can pull up, and finish well. Lilly can facilitate the offense, and makes other players better. Lilly has the potential to play at the next level and do very well, and will only get more explosive as she continues to recover.
