Continue ReadingWith the release of the latest Prep Girls Hoops Colorado rankings update for the Class of 2021 just after the midway point of Season B, a total of 11 new players joined the rankings. Many of these players are popping up at smaller schools that receive less exposure, and several have already committed to play college basketball.

Alexa Huff Alexa Huff 6'0" | PF Delta | 2021 State CO , 6’0, PF, Delta
Signed to play for Western Colorado, Huff has been the driving force behind Delta’s steadily-improving program for years now. As a senior, she’s still doing her thing and pacing the team to the tune of 14.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. With Huff leading the way, the Panthers are 9-1 and looking strong heading in to the home stretch of the regular season.
WBB | @westerncowbb is excited to welcome Alexa Huff out of Delta High School in Colorado. Huff was named all-conference last season, averaging 10.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals.

Jaden Newson Jaden Newson 5'6" | CG Sterling | 2021 State CO , 5’6, CG, Sterling
Headed to Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill., Newson is another small-school Colorado player headed to the college level. As a senior this season, she is averaging 7-1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Sterling is currently 5-5 overall.

Trinity Ramirez Trinity Ramirez 5'4" | SG Roosevelt | 2021 State CO , 5’4, SG, Roosevelt
Ramirez is yet another player who has committed to leave Colorado for a collegiate basketball career. She’ll play at Hesston College next season when she’s done playing her role for a Roosevelt team that’s rolling at 9-1 right now.

Kenzie Kraich Kenzie Kraich 5'6" | PG Brush | 2021 State CO , 5’6, PG, Brush
Kraich is the only uncommitted player on this list and, as a multi-sport standout who plays basketball, softball and runs track, put up impressive numbers for a point guard as a junior. She averaged 8.7 points, six assists, 7.3 rebounds, 4.6 blocks and 1.7 steals per game. She’s scoring less as a senior, but is still running the show to the tune of 3.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds and two steals per game.

Nakaiya Kuskie Nakaiya Kuskie 5'5" | SG Eaton | 2021 State CO , 5’5, SG, Eaton
Kuskie will play at Doane, and should fit right in with the Tigers. As a senior, she is scoring 9.8 points and shooting 42 percent (26 for 62) from 3-point range for the Reds, who are 8-1 and looking poised to finish the season strong.
