She turned down several offers – Vanderbilt, Colorado, New Mexico, Rice, and UCSB – to commit to UNLV. “I am now continuing my academics and athletic career at UNLV,” said Brown. “It is the perfect fit for me – perfect location, perfect program, and perfect resources for being a business major. I also have a strong connection with the UNLV coaches.”
Brown shot 55% from the field last year and 34% from behind the three-point arc. She also set a state scoring record by compiling 932 points and also averaging 3.9 steals per game and 1.3 blocks per game. In Sahuaro’s region (Kino) Brown was named both offensive and defensive Player of the Year. She also plays for Arizona Supreme and is a member of the Lady Cougars track and field team.
Kiya Dorroh Kiya Dorroh 6'0" | SF Compass Prep | 2021 State #65 Nation AZ – is a 6-0 shooting forward from Compass Prep who also plays for West Coast Premier and is committed to the University of Missouri. She is deceptively athletic and a consistent finisher to the rim with great body control. She has arc range with her jump shot and elevates over defenders in her mid-range game. Kiya has an outstanding first-step attack when going to the basket, is very creative off the dribble, and is a versatile defender.
Her stock should rise in 2021. Kiya considered several schools before signing with Missouri. “I have a really good relationship with Coach Robin Pingeton at Missouri and that just made me like the Tigers more than anyone else,” she said. “Coach Pingeton has been recruiting me for a very long time, she’s always stuck through it and I’ve always had a great relationship with her.”

While considering offers from William and Mary, Tulsa, Southern Utah, Nevada-Reno, and Alaska-Anchorage, Bridget committed to the University of California at San Diego.
“Bridget is the definition of someone not giving up,” said PHH Prep Head Coach Mike Karre. “She was virtually unrecruited a summer ago to now having 10 plus offers. She has come so far in the last year. She will make an immediate impact at UCSD both on and off the court. I’m excited to see what her future holds.”

“I am super excited to announce that I will be part of the BYU family,” said Barcello. “Looking forward to continuing my career that will not only help me grow as an athlete but also as a person. I’d like to thank my family, my siblings, and the coaching staffs at both Seton Catholic and Arizona Select. Can’t wait to be part of the BYU program.”.
Amanda’s family has quite a basketball background. Alex, Amanda’s brother, transferred to BYU from the University of Arizona. Her sister, Julia, played at Colgate and another sister, Sarah, played at Marist. Amanda’s father, Edward, led the state in scoring in 1987 at Brophy Prep.
