There are still many prospects in the Class of 2021 who are still on the market for a college program. Here are a few players who coaches should learn more about as they each have something special they could bring to a team at the next level.
Chloe Dallas Chloe Dallas 6'2" | PF Wauwatosa East | 2021 State WI | Wauwatosa East | WI Flight Elite | 6’2 F
One of the top players in her class, Dallas has a lot of attention from programs all over the country. She’s an extremely versatile forward who has skills and work ethic to make almost any program better. She’s a highly athletic forward with tremendous upside. Her long arms and ability to jump out of the gym make her a phenomenal rebounder with shot blocking potential. Dallas currently holds offers from Cleveland State, Colorado, IUPUI, Kansas State, Milwaukee, Morgan State, Northern Illinois, North Dakota, Seton Hall, Southeast Missouri State and St. Bonaventure. She is averaging 20.7 points per game and 8 rebounds per game this season for Wauwatosa East.
Jamera Bean | Milwaukee Lutheran | WI Impact | 5’5 PG
Bean is an electrifying point guard who will make an excellent floor general at the next level. With a burst of speed, Bean can be past her defender and at the rim. Her motor never turns off when she is on the floor. This is seen by her playing hounding on-ball defense, cutting to space, and keeping her head on a swivel at all times. Bean has improved her ball control over the years, pounding the ball on every dribble. Her change of direction and stutter step play to her advantage almost every time down the floor as well. She has great court vision, especially in the fast break; she’s accustomed to playing fast, so higher levels should come easy to her in that aspect.
Lindsay Kirby | St. Thomas More | 1 on 1 MKE | 5’9 CG
Kirby is an athletic guard who has a great feel on the court. She has decision making and movements that find her in the perfect positions for success. Kirby has improved so much as a shooter, especially off the catch has been great to see; she shoots the ball with much more rhythm and confidence than she did early on in high school. She has also made great strides with her body- she really improved her strength this summer. Her defensive awareness is exceptional, she’s constantly moving and keeping active hands. She has shown great passing ability as well. She is averaging 18 points per game this season.
Ziy Conner Ziy Conner 6'0" | CG Independence | 2021 State WI | Independence | WI Playmakers | 6’0 F
During an exciting senior season, Conner became the all time leading scorer for Independence Girls Basketball. She is leading her team in scoring and leading the state in rebounding. She is averaging nearly 27 points per game and 16 rebounds. She’s a versatile prospect who can play multiple positions on the floor. A long and lanky frame that is expandable is what stands out about her almost instantly. This makes her a phenomenal defender as well. She can consistently lock down on the perimeter and play with active hands. She contests shots well because of her wingspan, but she’s also smart enough to not look for the block every time and take a charge instead. She is a high level athlete in the open court and with space as well. She crashes the offensive glass. She’s a smooth player overall with a silky release. She even shows promise as a facilitator.
Breanna Ackley Breanna Ackley 6'1" | SF Stratford | 2021 State WI | Stratford | WI Playmakers | 6’2 F
Ackley can be a force on the block. She is a mobile forward who can extend her game far from the post. She is comfortable with the ball in her hands and has the skills to handle high pressure defense. Offensively she can knock down the perimeter basket and create a shot for herself behind the arc. She’s an offensive rebounding machine and does an excellent job keeping the ball high and finishing against contact. Ackley is currently averaging 19 points per game and 2.5 blocked shots.
Maya White-Eagle | Baraboo | WI Flight Elite | 5’6 PG
White-Eagle is a playmaking guard that does a fantastic job on the offensive end. She’s crafty and consistent in getting her teammates involved on the floor. Her court vision and decision making is going to be fantastic for whichever program White-Eagle lands on. She’s improved her perimeter shooting as well and is able to knock it down with consistency. She has the speed to be able to go coast to coast and finish against contact.
Aaleyah Jones Aaleyah Jones 5'5" | PG Milwaukee Riverside | 2021 State WI | Milwaukee Riverside | WI Playground Elite | 5’6 G
Jones is a dynamic scoring guard with a deep bag of skills on the offensive side of the ball. She is a three level scorer that can effortlessly put points on the board; she has a smooth release with fluid mechanics. Jones is a shot creator with or without the ball on the perimeter. Her scoring sense translates to her off-ball presence where she often cuts and reads angles to get open for catch-and-shoot opportunities. She is an effective shooter off the dribble that generates good lift off the ground as well. Jones is energetic and bouncy on the floor- very difficult to defend as she is constantly moving. She is unable to play her high school season due to COVID protocols but averaged nearly 16 points per game her junior season.
Megan Benzschawel Megan Benzschawel 6'0" | CG Monroe | 2021 State WI | Monroe | Wisconsin Academy | 6’0 G
The Wisconsin Academy standout is averaging 16 points per game and nearly 9 rebounds. She also averages 4.2 steals per game. Benzschawel plays with a lot of strength on the floor. Her physicality is noticeable immediately, and she utilizes her well-built frame in a multitude of ways. She is a great finisher at the rim; she overpowers many defenders in the paint, especially in her conference this season. She will challenge anyone at the rim- she doesn’t shy away from contact. She is an effective rebounder that will translate well to the next level. She also has a clean shooting stroke from the midrange and will occasionally shoot from behind the arc as well.
Abi Fraaza Abi Fraaza 6'1" | PF Wittenberg- Birnamwood | 2021 State WI | Wittenberg-Birnamwood | WI Blizzard | 5’11 F
Fraaza is averaging 16 points and 11 rebounds per game this season. She can hit the three point basket as well. Fraaza is a physically-advanced prospect with a high ceiling. She knows how to use her body to overpower defenders, and she is very comfortable playing physically inside the lane. She uses her body to be a very impressive rebounder and is able to hold the box out well. Her passing skills are notable as well- she consistently finds open teammates, and she can even pass out of the post quite well. Cutting through the lane and to open space is a major strength. Not many defenders are going to want to step in front of a cutting player her size and strength.
Claudia Fierias Claudia Fierias 5'9" | PF Janesville Craig | 2021 State WI | Janesville Craig | 5’9 G
Fierias has scored over 1,000 career points at Janesville Craig. She earned First Team All Big 8 as a junior and Second Team All Big 8 as a sophomore. This season she is averaging 15 points per game. Fierias is an explosive guard with a deep bag of skills offensively. She has great positional size, build and athleticism, and these will boost her versatility tremendously. She has the potential to be a versatile defender as well with the ability to guard all perimeter positions and maybe even the power forward position on a good day. She is an effortless perimeter scorer. She shows advanced instincts with the ball in her hands; she can read where the defender is playing her and others, and then decide where to attack from there. She clearly has years of experience as she is extremely intelligent on the floor.
Jazzanay Seymore Jazzanay Seymore 5'11" | PF Sun Prarie | 2021 State WI | Sun Prairie | WI Flight Elite | 6’0 PF
Though she lost most of her season due to COVID protocols, in the recent matchups that her team has been able to play, Seymore has been a key to success. She is averaging 11 points in the first three games. As a junior she averaged nearly 15 points and 8 rebounds per game. She is an athletic, versatile talent with loads of upside for the future. She has terrific size for her position. Her versatility is through the roof because of her combination of athleticism, length and agility- she will be able to be a shot blocker and great on-ball defender because of these. With some improvement on her speed she could easily guard multiple perimeter positions as well. She has the confidence on the floor to do so- it is clear Seymore is very disciplined and competitive.
Vanessa Solano | Martin Luther | 5’5 PG
Solano is a pure athlete that plays with impeccable intensity and explosion on the court. She is quick off and on the ball, and she utilizes the bounce very well. She has impressive natural instincts on the defensive end. She reads passes on her man and intercepts them with ease. Once she gets out on the fast break after a steal, there is not much one can do to stop her. She is simply so quick and explosive with the ball in her hands as she is driving towards the bucket. Solano is a four year varsity player for Martin Luther. She is averaging nearly 15 points, 3 assists and 3 steals per game.
Jaida Smith Jaida Smith 5'7" | CG Pius XI | 2021 WI | Pius XI Catholic | 5’7 CG
Smith is putting on some very impressive performances during her senior season at Pius XI Catholic. She is averaging nearly 13 points per game. Smith is a do-it-all guard with impressive athleticism and movement on the court. She excels in a fast system that gets out and runs the break. She plays well when her confidence is high; once she hits a few shots and gets going, she plays with much more comfort. She’s agile and quick with the ball. She uses pump fakes well to dart past the jumping defender for mid range pull ups. She has a smooth touch around the rim, and her one handed floater has been elite this season. Smith has continued to improve each time she steps on the floor. Competing at a school as disciples and talented as Pius XI has always been, Smith should be able to adjust and adapt well to a program next season.
