Unsung Prospects
Sometimes being a team player means sacrificing your game for the greater good of the team. There is a saying that goes “ there is no I in team.” There is also a saying that goes “ Me for us!.” The later phrase correlates to doing the little things right in honor of being a good teammate. It may be the ability to draw the attention of the opponent so a teammate can go to work, making a timely cut, delivering a perfect pass, boxing out an opponent, or even just locking down the other team’s best player. Doing this kind of work doesn’t always get your name in the paper. At the end of the day, you contributed by doing what was best for your team that night and at that moment.
PGH Tennessee would like to give these girls props for contributing to their team’s success by doing the necessary things that won’t be calculated in the scorebook.
