Nia Clemons, Roselle Catholic: Clemons had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in Roselle Catholic’s 43-23 victory over Roselle. It was Roselle Catholic’s first win of the season.
Maura Carney, Jackson Liberty: Carney had a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead Jackson Liberty past Freehold Borough, 69-28. Carney knocked down five 3-pointers. Ariana Broughton contributed a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Chelsea Lavezzo added 13 points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists.
Alexis Voorhees, Brick Memorial: Voorhees put in 24 points to lead Brick Memorial to a 68-14 win over Lakewood. She hit four 3-pointers in the win.
Emma Peretti, Hammonton: Peretti totaled a game-high 29 points in Hammonton’s 56-49 loss to Millville. Sha’naja Williams led three double-figure scorers for Millville with 19 points.
Brienna Pangborn, Lenape Valley: Pangborn finished with 22 points, 13 rebounds and three steals in Lenape Valley’s 57-45 win over Hopatcong.
Joi Johnson, Ewing: Johnson scored 11 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as Ewing improved to 2-0 and downed Robbinsville, 56-40. Geneece Boone added 12 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for Ewing.
Triniti Haskins Triniti Haskins 5'10" | SG East Orange | 2022 State NJ , East Orange: Haskins scored 25 points to go with eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals in East Orange’s 74-58 victory over West Essex. Destiny Battle added 20 points and six steals for East Orange.
Natalia Barrera, Gloucester Catholic: Barrera grabbed 16 rebounds in Gloucester Catholic’s 39-32 victory over Wildwood.
Katy Gashler, Westwood: Gashler finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks as Westwood took down Ramsey, 56-34.
West Orange: West Orange made a statement in defeating state-ranked Bayonne, 47-34. The Mountaineers led 14-8 after one quarter. Mackenzie Dover scored 14 points, Kiley Capstraw Kiley Capstraw 5'10" | SG West Orange | 2022 State NJ added 11 rebounds and five assists and Adrienne TaylorKamara grabbed 10 rebounds.
Taylor Hill, Passaic Valley: Despite coming up short against undefeated Wayne Valley, Hill scored 31 points for Passaic Valley.
Casey Sullivan, Demarest: Sullivan hit seven 3-pointers on the way to 34 points in Demarest’s 64-47 victory over Paramus Catholic.
Ella Madden, Park Ridge: Madden had 31 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks as Park Ridge defeated Emerson Boro, 52-38.
Saddle River Day: Saddle River Day made easy work of a state-ranked team, cruising past Montclair Immaculate, 89-29. Paulina Paris put in 33 points and Saniah Caldwell Saniah Caldwell 5'8" | PG Saddle River Day | 2022 State #52 Nation NJ scored 30 points for Saddle River Day, now 2-0.
Destiny Adams Destiny Adams 6'3" | SF Manchester | 2021 State #26 Nation NJ , Manchester Township: Adams continued her early-season dominance with 33 points, 14 rebounds and four steals in Manchester Township’s 72-27 victory over Pinelands.
St. John Vianney: St. John Vianney, the No. 1 team in the state, opened its season with a dominating 75-43 victory over Rumson-Fair Haven. It was quite the debut for St. John Vianney, which put in 30 first-quarter points. Madison St. Rose Madison St. Rose 5'10" | PG St. John Vianney | 2022 State #65 Nation NJ led four double-figure scorers with 18 points.
Bella Vito Bella Vito 5'8" | CG Montville | 2021 State NJ , Montville: Vito put in a game-high 31 points to lead Montville in an impressive 72-47 victory over Morris County foe Chatham. It was Vito’s first 30-point game in her career.
Akyia Baker, St. Thomas Aquinas: Baker scored 26 points and St. Thomas Aquinas made a statement in Middlesex County with a 70-45 victory over Edison.
