Scouts and evaluators came from as far the West Coast to take in the action and they were not disappointed. I was in the building for the Saturday games and several point guards caught my eye.
Autumn Edison, Team Maryland, 2025
Autumn looked like a solid floor general out in Spooky Nook. She controlled the game, facilitating and getting her team into their sets. She brings a toughness to the game, driving and finishing trough contact. She steps into her perimeter shots with confidence and knocks them down out to the three point line.
Brianna Norman, DC Lady Threat, 2029
Yes, I stayed around to watch a 4th grader playing up with a 5th grade squad. I happed to look over from the court I was covering during a timeout and saw this shorty looking breaking some ankles. Since the game I was watching was a blowout I turned my attention to DC’s Lady Threat. This young lady is advanced in her development. Her free throw form is on point, and she swished all the attempts I saw. She pushed the ball up court in transition and made some nice decisions with the ball, delivering good passes on time. She straps up on defense, keeping her girl in front of her. It made my day to see such a young player putting so much work into her game.
Princess Moody Princess Moody 5'8" | CG Bishop McNamara | 2025 State MD , Team Takeover, 2025
Princess was unstoppable in the game I watched. She has all the physical tools needed to step right into a big time varsity program next year. She is a terror on defense, with active hands and solid footwork. She just reaches in and takes the ball from players. Her shot from three point range is deadly. If you like floaters and runners, she has them in her bag. She has exceptional vision, seeing plays before they develop and delivers accurate passes. Looking forward to her high school career, wherever she lands.
Reynah Rattliff, Mid Atlantic Magic, 2025
Reynah has top level speed with the ball. She is a crafty ball handler and makes good decisions with the ball. At 5’7″ she has the size to play the point position in high school next season, and at the next level after that. She didn’t force anything, looked to pass first and scored when needed. With so many guards on her team she didn’t have the ball in her hands as much as I would have liked so I’ll be following her high school career.
