Below is a list of players who have risen their stock in the rankings this time around. Each one of these players have highlighted skills and had impressive performances that led them to landing a higher position than the last rankings. Take a look!
Sarah Newcomer Sarah Newcomer 5'8" | CG Pewaukee | 2022 State WI | Pewaukee
An electrifying guard with incredible speed and consistency to her game, Pewaukee relied on Newcomer to do so many things on the floor. She creates a game through her ability to attack the lane and finish strong against contact. She has a smooth release from the perimeter as well. She averaged nearly 12 points per game this season and made 40 three-point baskets during her junior season. In a four point loss to the top team in the state, Germantown, Newcomer finished with a season-high 20 points.
Emily La Chapell Emily La Chapell 5'11" | CG Appleton East | 2022 State #57 Nation WI | Appleton East
After a phenomenal high school season, La Chapell has all eyes on her. As one of the top players in the nation, the 5’11 wing has earned the spot of Wisconsin’s number one player in the Class of 2022. She is extremely versatile and shows high promise for the next level. She can guard multiple positions. She’s capable of being a secondary playmaker and can handle the ball in transition. She’s a solid finisher around the rim and can finish consistently with either hand. She’s added some range to her game as well and can knock it down off the step back from anywhere on the floor. She averaged 19.5 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and nearly 2 steals per game. La Chapell holds over ten Division 1 offers.
Lyric Johnson Lyric Johnson 5'9" | SG Hortonville | 2022 State WI | Hortonville
A dynamic wing with a high motor, Johnson is a terrific catch-and-shoot threat in the midrange that only needs a few inches of space to get her shot off. She will also knock down the three point basket if left open. She has an explosive attack and gets to the rim quickly. This season she averaged 16 points and nearly 7 rebounds per game.
Lily Krahn Lily Krahn 5'10" | CG Prairie Du Chien | 2022 State WI | Prairie du Chien
Krahn has great positional height and movement on the floor. A clear understanding for the game, Krahn gets the job done effortlessly both offensively and defensively. After an impressive summer circuit with Flight Elite, Krahn was in the perfect position for a breakout season at the high school level. She averaged 20 points per game and 3 steals per game. She currently holds over five Division 1 offers.
Clare Diener Clare Diener 5'10" | SG Cedarburg | 2022 State WI | Cedarburg
The 5’10 guard has a lot of upside for the next level and going into summer action. She’s a three level scorer with a high basketball IQ. During her junior season at Cedarburg she displayed a high level of athleticism and skill that improved her stock in the rankings. She averaged 20 points per game and had some huge offensive performances. In a win over Port Washington, Diener finished with 38 points.
Emilie Wizner Emilie Wizner 5'10" | CG Germantown | 2022 State WI | Germantown
Wizner’s stock jumped as she helped lead her team to a State Title. The 5’6 guard averaged nearly 9 points per game this season and was a role player that Germantown could rely on each time she stepped onto the floor. In a victory over New Berlin Eisenhower- a state tournament team as well- she scored a season-high 19 points. Wizner understands the game and it shows in the way she moves without the ball. She understands spacing and her decision making on both ends of the court make her an elite prospect.
