So far we have covered many of the point guards, combo guards, shooting guards and small forwards in the state. We are moving towards the power forwards of the class. The power forward position has a few Division 1 prospects and some players for other levels, but it lacks the depth of talent that we see at the position most years.
1) 6’4 PF Lauren Glazier Lauren Glazier 6'4" | PF Mt. Si | 2022 State WA (Mount Si HS) is a prospect with a really high ceiling with her length, mobility and inside/out potential at 6’4. Glazier is a great shot blocker on defense and has potential to defend the 4 or 5 at the next level. She is a thin and wiry forward that likes to play some on the wing, but as she continues to build strength, it will take her game to another level. She holds a handful of Division 1 offers.
2) 6’2 PF Cori Wilcox Cori Wilcox 6'2" | PF Lake Stevens | 2022 State WA (Lake Stevens HS) is a very different type of player from Glazier and ultimately comes down to what type of player a college coach is looking for. Wilcox is a couple of inches shorter, but she possess outstanding physicality and strength in the painted area. She can finish with either hand and does the vast majority of her damage in the key. She also holds multiple Division 1 offers. *Feature image
3) 6’0 PF Catelyn Deaver Catelyn Deaver 6'0" | PF Sumner | 2022 State WA (Sumner HS) has one of the best motors out of all the power forwards in the state. She rebounds and finishes through contact well and gets it done in the paint. She had some really strong games last Summer against good competition putting up some impressive double-doubles. Another Division 1 level prospect in ’22.
