(14) Kishyah Anderson Kishyah Anderson 5'10" | PF Mountain Pointe | 2022 State AZ (5’10″, PF, Mountain Pointe) – Anderson was simply missed during the last update mainly due to her skipping the summer and fall AAU seasons due to the ongoing pandemic. She also decided to sit out the current AIA season for Mountain Pointe. Anderson has great size for the position and she is fairly skilled especially anywhere near the basket. She can easily ascend to a top 10 ranking with a solid AAU season in the Spring. Anderson has fluid movements, scores at will in the paint and she competes.
(33) Jayla Scott Jayla Scott 6'1" | PF Vista Grande | 2022 State AZ (6’1″, PF, Vista Grande) – Scott has had a breakout season for the Spartans. She has been the main catalyst is the Spartans improvement from last year’s 5-23 record. Scott has doubled her production in points (20.4) , rebounding (12.2) and blocks (4.5). She is definitely a prospect to continue to monitor during the upcoming AAU Spring Season.
(36) Samantha Lyle Samantha Lyle 6'2" | PF Saguaro | 2022 State AZ (6’2″, PF, Saguaro) – Lyle is another player who is having a breakout junior season. She has averaged 17.4 points and 10 rebounds for the much improved Sabercats. She has had season highs of 30 points and 27 points with an impressive 60 percent shooting percentage in 2 point attempts for the season. Keep an eye on the continued development of this prospect.
(40) Alyssa Heath Alyssa Heath 5'7" | CG Mohave | 2022 State AZ (5’7″, CG, Mohave) – Heath is a crafty two guard that plays with a lot of moxy. She has good quickness for the position and can play the PG position if needed. Heath is one of the top scorers in the class at 20.6 points a game. Her season high is 39 points vs Mingus.
(43) Jaya Huma Jaya Huma 5'7" | CG Saguaro | 2022 State AZ (5’7″, CG, Saguaro) – Huma is one of the better shooters in the class and she has been a glue type performer for the Sabercats for the past 3 seasons. Huma comes from a very solid basketball family. In addition to her ability to hit timely shots, she is developing into an all around performer who is capable of playing multiple positions.
(44) Kira Pitel Kira Pitel 5'10" | CG Perry | 2022 State AZ (5’10″, CG, Perry) – Pitel’s leadership and ability to mentor younger players on the team has been instrumental in Perry’s ability to compete against some of the top teams in the state. Perry was decimated with several top players transferring to Prep schools so this was expected to be a rebuilding year for the Pumas. Perry is now sitting at 12-5 for the abbreviated season and the Pumas gave Hamilton it’s only loss of the season. Pitel’s strengths include her calm demeanor and her ability to make other players better. Her stats are modest this year so you will need to watch her play to really see her true value to the team .
