This group of student-athletes are hard working individuals and will continue to put in the work until their time to play college basketball is finally here. Although there have been limited opportunities to play in front of colleges, these are prospects that can play at the next level when it’s all said and done.
2023 5’10 SG Isabel Sullivan Isabel Sullivan 5'11" | SG Eastside Catholic | 2023 State WA (Eastside Catholic HS) is lefty guard that can really get going from behind the three line. Her handle is there and she can create her space to get her own shot off. She has good anticipation skills on the defensive end and fits in well with an uptempo system, as well as a half court system.
2023 5’9 SG Marecia Barnett Marecia Barnett 5'10" | SG Emerald Ridge | 2023 State WA (Emerald Ridge HS) is quite possibly the state’s best passer. Her ability to zip passes and make something out of seemingly nothing is very impressive. Barnett is a big, strong guard that has such a great feel for the game. She can also attack the basket and score. Her college recruitment will begin taking shape sooner than later.
2023 5’9 SG Maya Barnett Maya Barnett 5'10" | SG Emerald Ridge | 2023 State WA (Emerald Ridge HS) is one player that could probably give her sister, Marecia, a run for her money in the passing category. Maya is a good slasher off the ball as well and she can score in the paint or step out and knock down the outside shot too. A growing prospect in the 2023 class.
2023 5’7 SG Angie Cavanaugh Angie Cavanaugh 5'7" | 145 lbs | SG Tahoma | 2023 State WA (Tahoma HS) is not quite as big in stature as the other players on this list, but her skill set is right there with anyone overall. Cavanaugh can score from the midrange or outside just as well. Her shooting ability helps her to stretch the floor for whatever team she is on and she has a good understanding of the game.
