#5| 2023 5’8 SF Alanna Tate Alanna Tate 5'8" | CG Urbana | 2023 State MD – Urbana – One On None
At Clarksburg, Alanna showed that she is already an extremely competitive high school level point guard. She handles and distributes the ball with confidence, but she is also not afraid to take the shot herself as she is a more than competent jump shooter. Alanna can finish with both hands around the basket on offense, and on defense she is a relentless shot blocker for her size. Alanna will look to continue her high school success at Urbana, where she will no doubt be an immediate factor and fuel the continued success of the program in the near future.

Simone Lewis Simone Lewis 5'11" | PF Georgetown Visitation | 2023 State MD is arguably the best shooter on this list. Her mid-range jump shot is absolutely incredible and from beyond the arc she is just as good. The only potential critique of Simone is of her ability to matchup on defense as a power forward, however, as a Sophomore there is plenty of time for her to truly showcase what she is capable of on the court.
#3| 2023 6’0 G Drew Jordon Drew Jordon 6'0" | SF Bishop McNamara | 2023 State MD – Maret – Boo Williams
Drew Jordon Drew Jordon 6'0" | SF Bishop McNamara | 2023 State MD has emerged onto the high school scene early and in sublime fashion. When asked about her expectations for last year’s season, pre-pandemic, she said, “for my freshman year I want to average at least 20…As a team, I want to make sure that all of my teammates average 12, 13, or even 20.” Drew’s confidence is clearly not lacking and it certainly is not lacking on the court where she is a natural leader. In light of her school’s 2021 season being cancelled, it has been difficult to watch Drew play recently, however, there’s more than enough evidence to support her continued success and development with coach Liddell and the Maret Frogs over the next two seasons.
#2| 2023 5’7 SF Gabby Grantham-Medley Gabby Grantham-Medley 5'7" | SF North Hagerstown | 2023 State MD – St. James School

The tandem of her long frame and ball distribution skill will translate extremely well at the next level and that’s not even to mention her dynamic scoring abilities. She rebounds on both ends of the floor, and immediately following defensive rebounds in particular she is able to get out in transition effectively and make the right choice as to take it herself or pass it. St. James has thrived during Gabby’s tenure thus far, and it is now more than evident that both Gabby and St. James basketball are on the rise.
