There are SO many talented prospects in the Class of 2024. Prior to the first round of rankings being released- Prep Girls Hoops released a “Watch List” of players to keep an eye on as they begin their first high school season. Below are players who were not on the list but have made a huge impact to deserve a spot in the Top 60.
Alyssa Wirth Alyssa Wirth 6'5" | C Altoona | 2024 State WI
Wirth is an extremely talented prospect who can make an immediate impact at the next level. She has terrific positional size and athleticism to match. Her footwork continues to improve and she has mobility rarely seen for her size. She can catch at the free throw line and attack the rim as well create a shot with her back to the basket. During her freshman season at Altoona, Wirth averaged 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks per game. In a win over Stanley-Boyd, Wirth finished with a season-high 28 points. She currently holds an offer from St. Thomas.
Norriah Broomfield Norriah Broomfield 5'11" | PF Milwaukee School of Languages | 2024 State WI
Broomfield is going to be a force for the next three years in the Milwaukee area. She’s a talented post player with traditional moves and ability to create contact in the paint. She uses her body well inside and can finish with both hands. She has impressive footwork on defense as well and can defend much taller players in the post.
Molly Janke Molly Janke 5'10" | SG Ellsworth | 2024 State WI
Janke brings a mature feel for the game. She has athleticism and a high motor to play a lot of minutes at a high level. She averaged nearly 15 points per game this season for Ellsworth. In a game over Somerset this season, Janke finished with a season-high 23 points. She’s consistent in the midrange and doesn’t shy away from finishing with contact at the rim. A rebounding standout who more often than not had a double-double, Janke is fierce on the offensive glass. She averaged nearly 11 rebounds per game this season.
Brooklynn Butler Brooklynn Butler 5'11" | CG Fond Du Lac | 2024 State WI
Butler finished second in scoring for her high school team this season. She’s a 5’10 wing with a high ceiling for versatility as she becomes more consistent in transition and going downhill. She has impressive range and ability to create her shot on the perimeter. She has good footwork and her release is quick- she doesn’t need much time or space to get it off. This season she averaged 8 points per game and made 32 three point baskets.
MiKayla Werner MiKayla Werner 6'0" | PF Hortonville | 2024 State WI
Werner is going to bring a lot to this Hortonville and lead them to success in the next three years. Her ceiling is incredibly high and this season we saw glimpses of how impressive she will become. She did all the little things right on the floor for her team this season. On a talented squad like Hortonville, being able to come in and provide consistent minutes and numbers is often overlooked but should be recognized. She didn’t force her game when she was on the floor- she made the right movements and found the open shot or her teammates. She averaged 6 points per game and made 21 three point baskets. In a two-point victory over a top De Pere squad, Werner stepped up with 10 huge points to help her team grab the win.
Alexa Kinas Alexa Kinas 5'8" | CG Kaukauna | 2024 State WI
Kinas brings high energy and pace to both ends of the floor. She has speed and understanding defensively to be an impact defender at the top of the key. She could guard an opponent full court the entire game and still have enough energy to produce on the offensive end. She averaged 7 points per game this season at Kaukauna. In a victory over Appleton West, she finished with a season-high 15 points.
Rylan Oberg Rylan Oberg 5'7" | CG DeForest | 2024 State WI
Oberg is consistent at all three levels on the court. She has a smooth shot in the mid range and can finish strong with either hand at the rim. She showed glimpses of being an impact passer as well- look for her to add some consistency here during her summer with Team Wisconsin. This season at DeForest, she averaged 10 points per game. In a game against Watertown Luther Prep, Objerg dropped a season-high 18 points to lead her team. An elite defender, Oberg is scrappy and competitive. She gets after it and can guard multiple positions on the floor.
Annamaria Luna Annamaria Luna 5'6" | PG Wauwatosa West | 2024 WI
Luna is a playmaking guard who has confidence and swag on the floor. She is a natural facilitator and often makes the highlight reel pass to find the open man in the paint. She understands the flow of the game and knows when to take over for her team. She has impressive handles and ability to shake the defender on the perimeter. This season she averaged nearly 8 points per game. In a victory over Neillsville, Luna finished with a season high 25 points and made 7 three point baskets.
