Quality Education Academy Lady Pharaohs played strong from beginning to end all weekend long in the tourney. The Lady Pharoahs knocked off Winston-Salem Christian Regional in the Championship Game 43-27 on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Pharoahs improve to (19-3) on the season.
Raven Preston Raven Preston 6'0" | CG Quality Education Academy | 2022 State NC took the MVP Honors this weekend with her outstanding play. Preston is a very skilled player who rebounds the ball exceptionally well from her position. Preston showed to have a nice mid-range game and always played the game under control with her play. Preston scored 16 points in the Championship Game vs Winston-Salem Christian.
Iycez Adams Iycez Adams 6'1" | SF Quality Education Academy | 2021 State NC a East Carolina University signee was all over the floor with her play today. Adams fills the lane in transition well and finished around the bucket on several occasions. Adams plays the game as a very vocal leader on the floor and wasn’t afraid to dive on the floor for loose balls time after time today. Adams scored 12 points in the finals today.
Alivia Evans attended Glenn HS in the past before coming over to Quality Education Academy. Evans is a GREAT SHOOTER with a quick shot release. Evans plays the game so well away from the ball and is constantly on the moving on the floor. Evans is shot ready to receive and shoots the ball at a high percentage clip. Evans finished the game with 11 points.
The Lady Pharoahs have plenty of youth down the road with the likes of Maliah Preston, Laniya Scales Laniya Scales 6'2" | SF Quality Education Academy | 2024 State NC and Destiny Thompson Destiny Thompson 5'4" | PG R.J. Reynolds | 2024 NC . Preston a combo guard seems most comfortable playing off the ball and is always looking to make that heady play.
Scales 6’2 is just a freshman and plays the game very active in the passing lanes. Scales has great length and can defend out on the perimeter with her play. Scales has the ability to play inside-out and the floor while knocking down some short jumpers.
Williams a backup point guard really keeps the ball low to the floor and has a quick 1st step to the cup.
