While a lot of the top prospects in 2022 are 6-0 or taller, I think the guard crop is somewhat overlooked and underappreciated in this class. Our Top-200 is home to 43 point guard prospects who make up 21.5% of all 2022 prospects ranked in Indiana. There are a lot of talented shooters/scorers in this group, but there are also some nice game managers. There are several really nice small college foundation pieces as well. Below is a look at those 43 prospects, as well as some added information and analysis on a handful of girls who have stood out since our last rankings update in December.

Newcomers
Our Spring rankings update isn’t a big time for new additions to the current Junior class, but while we didn’t expand from 200 prospects, there were a pair of point guards added due to a couple of openings on the list. Both Jaidn Green Jaidn Green 5'6" | PG Evansville North | 2022 State IN of Evansville North and Camiell Perry Camiell Perry 5'5" | PG Speedway | 2022 State IN of Speedway are dynamic little guards who play with great speed and quickness. The each take care of the basketball, get it where it needs to go, plus they can score it themselves. They both will also sit down in a stance and defend the ball with effort.
Stock-Risers
Darryn Hood Darryn Hood 5'5" | CG Tindley | 2022 State IN , Tindley Accelerated H.S. – Darryn had a nice showing at the PGH Indiana Top-250 Showcase. She continued her solid play throughout the Winter, and she’s looked comfortable so far this Spring on a new team. She is a wiry strong, very athletic playmaker, who can affect a game at both ends of the floor.
Rayah Kincer Rayah Kincer 5'10" | CG Franklin Central | 2022 State IN , Franklin Central H.S. – Rayah’s rise has as much to do with her health as anything. At the Shamrock Classic, she was as strong and explosive as I can remember. She showed improved change-of-direction movements, and she had nice start-stop burst. She is a tough, pass-first playmaker with size.
Kelly Ratigan Kelly Ratigan 5'8" | PG South Bend St. Joseph | 2022 State IN , South Bend St. Joseph H.S. – Kelly had a strong July/August in 2020, plus she transitioned into St. Joe’s best player over the Winter. She is a strong guard, with a natural feel and steady pace for the game. She rarely turns it over, and she can knock down open shots outside. I look for her to have a big Summer.
Kynidi Striverson Kynidi Striverson 5'8" | PG Silver Creek | 2022 State IN , Silver Creek H.S. – Kynidi has a rep in recruiting circles, but her Semi-State and State Finals play earned her some public attention statewide. She is a wiry strong athlete who can make plays off the bounce. She is a pass-first kid, she can score the ball, and she can be an elite defender.
Macey Timberman Macey Timberman 5'5" | PG Northview | 2022 State IN , Northview H.S. – Macey has a chance to earn a lot of small college interest this Spring & Summer. She is so long, quick, and extremely fast, plus she plays with a motor. She can score it in bunches or make plays for others. I’m most impressed with how much more efficient she is now, too.
Keep an eye on…
Isabel Davis Isabel Davis 5'7" | CG Bishop Chatard | 2022 State IN , Bishop Chatard H.S. – I had never heard of Izzy until the PGH Indiana Top-250 last Fall, but now she has found her way to the grassroots scene. She is a strong kid who plays with a motor, she has solid quickness, toughness, and she can really handle the ball and create for herself or others.
Emma Good Emma Good 5'6" | PG Taylor | 2022 State IN , Taylor H.S. – Emma could have a big Spring & Summer. She didn’t play grassroots ball in 2020, but she had an outstanding Winter, shooting and scoring it at a high level for the Titans. She plays at a steady pace, takes care of the ball, and runs offense. She has a really nice feel for the game/position.
Keegan Kaiser Keegan Kaiser 5'9" | PG Floyd Central | 2022 State IN , Floyd Central H.S. – Keegan drew a handful of Division-I looks throughout her Sophomore campaign, but she was injured very early in the Summer of 2020. Now that she’s back and healthy again, I look for her to work her way back into a lot of interest. She is long, fluidly athletic/smooth, and versatile.
Ali Saunders, North Harrison H.S. – Ali is a really nice Southern Indiana guard, and she does a lot of things for North Harrison. She has a strong, athletic frame, she can handle, pass, and really shoot it, plus she plays with a nice motor. She has Division-I offers, and with July being “live”, her interest should take off.
Lauren Smith Lauren Smith 5'7" | PG Cowan | 2022 State IN , Cowan H.S. – Lauren had a nice Summer in 2020, and she followed it up with a strong Winter season. She has great length, speed and quickness, and she’s a very shifty playmaker who can create off the bounce. She has a solid feel for the game, plus she can shoot it outside, and with some range.
