The event brought teams from down south, the Mid Atlantic and the Northeast from 5th through 8th grade. The teams played in front of national scouts and evaluators from all over the country and there was a ton of talented players and teams in the event. I took in some action on Saturday and saw some strong prospects.
Amirah Anderson, Elevate Elite, 2025 Guard/Wing
Amirah is a physical wing prospect who finished strong through contact. She flashed a nice handle in traffic, changing speed and protecting the ball effectively. Later in the game she played some point guard, making some nice post entry passes and showing a good feel for the game. Looking forward to seeing her again.
Teresa Hagins, Team Takeover, 2025, Guard
Teresa is a smooth combo guard and one of the best shooters I saw at the event. I don’t think she missed any shots in the game I watched. She has a quick release and buried several three pointers. She pulled up for three and got some off catch and shoot situations. She also knocked down several mid range shots. She strapped up on defense and was particularly strong in their press.
Jada Choice, DC Lady Threat, 2028, Center
This young post did her job. She plays with a bunch of talented guards so she gobbled up points by catching and finishing around the basket. She has soft hands and a nice shot out to 15 feet. She also has solid footwork for her age.
Megan Yarnevich, Power Move, 2025, Forward/Wing
Megan continues to grow her game. As one of the top 2025’s in country she has gained quite a following. I was impressed with her defense this time out as she showed excellent timing on some blocked shots. She rejected 4 shots in the game I watched.. She also helped out with ball handling, breaking the press and scoring, showing off her versatility at 6’1″.
Zhen Craft Zhen Craft 6'2" | SF Bishop McNamara | 2025 State MD , Team Takeover, 2025, Forward
Zhen created problems for defenders with her length and size. She’s quick off her feet which allowed her to grab offensive rebounds and create second opportunities for her team. She has a nice touch around the basket and showed a nice handle and willingness to push the ball up the court. She also showed versatility by running the point late in the game.
