A very athletic ball handler than can create plays with or without the ball. If Heirigs is not driving to the lane and creating a layup for herself, then she is open in the corner ready to shoot a 3. Heirigs built an impressive Sophomore campaign averaging 21.4 points a game and went for over 500 points for the second straight season. Heirigs has already built an incredible two years with the Irish entering the 1,000-point club as just as Sophomore. Look for her this summer as well as next winter with the thought of making the state tournament.
Carly Purdy – Forward 6’0 – North Platte
At 6’0 feet tall Purdy loves to dominate the glass. Averaging 9.0 rebounds per game made her North Platte’s leading rebounder. Aside from her dominance on the boards Purdy averaged a stellar 10.0 points per game as just a Sophomore in the states biggest class. Purdy and the Bulldogs made a state title run this past winter so be on the look out for her entering this summer as her ceiling has yet to be hit.
Tahlia Steinbeck – Guard 6’1 – Hershey
A quick guard that has great size. At 6’1 Steinbeck was able to outmatch opposing defenders averaging 13.3 points per game in just her Sophomore season. Although Steinbeck is known for her scoring, her athletic ability and basketball IQ are second to none as she knows how to get the rest of her teammates involved. Taylor Svoboda – Guard 5’8 – Mullen
Team Captain as just a junior Svoboda is an athletic and physical player that prides her game on both sides of the floor. The junior averaged 11.3 points per game and performed well on the other side of the court getting about 4 steals per game.
