Travel basketball is getting up and running and a highly condensed 4-5 week high school season will give an opportunity for some more centers to put themselves on the map. In the meantime, there are a couple of prospects that play center that college coaches need to know about.
Stanwood High School claims 6’4 post, Vivienne Berrett Vivienne Berrett 6'4" | C Stanwood | 2023 State WA . At 6’4, she has great strength and a frame that can absorb contact in the paint. Her all around game has been developing at its own pace step by step as she grows into her body. Her formidable size makes her a solid prospect for college coaches to be aware of and be actively recruiting in some cases.
Another center in the 2023 class is Naomi Hotchkiss Naomi Hotchkiss 6'4" | C Puyallup | 2023 WA . Standing at 6’4, Hotchkiss has a pretty high ceiling with some tools to work with. She is strong, has above average mobility for her size and she has some developing footwork in the post. She is far from finished product, but she is a hard worker, great attitude and potential to continue to get better. Her recruitment is starting to come along with multiple schools getting involved.
