#44 Olivia Sauvageau Olivia Sauvageau 5'7" | PG Second Baptist | 2024 State TX -5’6 PG (Second Baptist)
Sauvageau caught my eye at an event I was NOT invited back to this season yet I was glad I had a chance to catch her in action. As good as I thought she was, catching her multiple times after that initial sighting with both her club and high school team told me yet another story. Yeah, she’s a heady guard that can run a team, she helped lead her high school to the TAPPS State Championship game, they were runner up but always remember the game starts at the 1, and her ability to see the floor, handle the ball under pressure as well as create her shot, mid to long-range and knock it down consistently, whoa, let me not leave out attacking the rim, her upside is really
#46 Danielle Ruffin Danielle Ruffin 5'5" | CG Cy Creek | 2024 TX – 5’5 PG (Cypress Creek)
Ruffin played behind one of the best backcourts in the country and that valuable experience of watching translated over to her club team. Yeah, I spotted her in the 8th grade and was impressed with her explosiveness off the dribble yet she uses that same explosiveness on her jumper which she can create under pressure. she also handles the ball well and sees the floor well
#47 Giona Angiolet Giona Angiolet 5'9" | CG Austin Westlake | 2024 State TX -5’9 CG (Austin Westlake)
Angiolet has a stroke, she sets the defender up very well and she knocks down shots from, well everywhere. and seeing her just go off on a consistent basis tells me a lot about what’s coming because she is nowhere near the finished product so trying to guard her will be an issue, especially since she can attack and finish acrobatically and after contact
#48 Madison Hurta Madison Hurta 5'8" | PG San Marcos Homeschool | 2024 State TX – 5’7 PG (San Marcos Homeschool)
Hurta has the right last name cause she can put a hurta on defenders, that’s a new word yet her game is old-school, smooth, steady, and deliberate and when you can THINK the game, wait, how did I put it ” I called her a gamer that relishes pressure and let me add she has just been on a tear with her “catch and shoot” from distance but with her mindset, it will only get better” so thinking te game combined with mindset, I can’t wait to see her progression
#57 Shunteria Anumele Shunteria Anumele 5'8" | SG Legacy Sports School of Science | 2024 State TX – 5’9 G (Lutheran North)
Davis showed me she can score in bunches, her athletic ability, ability to play the passing lane as well as her ability to handle the ball in the open court but she attacks the rim strongly and under control and has shown time and time and time again that she can score after the lick. I also watched her create her shot and knock it down from the outside, nice upside as well
#59 Taylor Branson Taylor Branson 5'3" | PG Lipan | 2024 State TX – 5’3 PG (Lipan)
Branson showed up and out in the UIL 2A State Championship and proved two things, one of them #sizedontmatter “Branson only scored 6 points but she did enough to show me she could play and her “poise under pressure” stood out early because she handled it with ease. Well she handles the ball with ease too and showed she could create her shot and get it off when she wanted” and the other, it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against and she p;laid a huge part in her team winning the title
