Bree Casey-5’8 (Platinum Basketball 2022 Bates) 2022
Casey can rebound and push the ball coast to coast, under pressure yet her ability to hit teammates going full speed adds a different dimension to her squad as they have a variety of everything to score either inside or outside yet she also can slow it down and get the job done that way. The icing on the cake is that she plays the passing lane and can score
Lauren Smith-5’4 (TNBA Richman 17U) 2022
Smith is just solid all the way around, yeah she can shoot the mid to long-range by creating her shot as well as attack the rim but her poise under pressure, this includes handling the ball and making tough passes look easy always stand out but even more so during the event. She also makes big plays in the clutch, she showed that on opening night but I’ve seen it numerous times
Genesis Sweetine (Colorado Prospect Academy 2022) 2022
Sweetine caught my eye initially with her quick hands and numerous steals led to her pushing the ball and hitting her teammates yet as I had a chance to catch her more, she does a good job controlling the tempo and was vocal on the court so when I also add she has a nice pull-up jumper from midrange and can attack the rim, seeing her play the passing lane was a YESSSSS
Claris Phoenix-5’7 (Texas Cagers Select 2022) 2023
Phoenix has shown progression since she caught my eye last season and it hasn’t stopped after multiple events this year so when you factor in she’s playing up and is nowhere near her ceiling, that upside is impressive, and with her first step that sets everything up, either in transition or the half-court, she just distributes the ball well either in the set or attacking, she finishes strongly after contact too
Tatem Adair Tatem Adair 5'2" | PG Wichita Southeast | 2022 State KS -5’4 (Dynasty 2022 Black) 2022
Adair probably isn’t related to Red but she can start and put out fires on the court. Her pass-first mindset, her vocalness on the court and just directing traffic is truly all throwback type stuff and understands how to make those around her better with crisp pinpoint passes, even showed the no-look however when needed, the mid to long as well as off the dribble are there
Aaliyah Smith-5’2 (Arkansas Lady Diamondbacks 2022) 2024
Smith falls into that #sizedontmatter hashtag because she can play and she played a couple of years up and got the job done which is even more impressive because she’s steady, plays within herself, and just understands how to get the ball to the right person at the right time but to keep the defense honest, she showed she could knock down the outside shot
