These young players are all at different places in their development, but each one showed me something as I was watching that led me to believe that they can play at the next level. They will be successful if they can maximize their game by working hard and focusing on important areas of improvement.
- Olivia Austin Olivia Austin 6'0" | PF Nazareth Academy | 2024 State IL is a 6’0 2024 Post from Force MW. Olivia showed the ability to play both inside and out during the weekend. She scored inside the paint with some nice moves, but also was able to connect from behind the 3-point line. Olivia is a very good rebounder who seems to control the defensive boards all by herself at times. She seems like a very good fit as a stretch 4 as you project what she could be in college.
- Olivia Patton Olivia Patton 6'0" | PF Normal Community West | 2024 IL Olivia a very strong post from Fusion Academy with a nice touch and she is a very good passer. Right now she needs a little space to operate effectively. Olivia has a tendency to just try to back her opponent down in the low post so she would benefit from work on low post moves and pivoting/squaring up. Olivia has potential but she will have to work hard to expand her game and increase her fitness levels.
- Addison Tarr is a 5’11 2025 Forward from Illinois Elite. Addison showed some nice signs of potential throughout the weekend. She does a good job both in the post and out on the wing. She has a versatile game and really helps this team with some scoring, playing defense on the opposing posts and rebounding. Addison is the type of kid every coach wants, she works hard on all aspects of her game and her physical abilities while keeping a focus on being an excellent person/student. I look forward to watching her develop.
- Jordyn Miller is a 6’2 2024 Post. Jordyn is a tall and strong young post that is still working to get immersed into the proper positioning and footwork in the post. You can see the potential if she puts in the work. When she does catch the ball in the post she needs to work on getting square to the basket on her shots. Jordyn has decent touch when she shoots, she is just shooting from awkward angles at times. In addition, I saw some flashes of a feisty attitude that is always a plus with post players. Jordyn has a long way to go but she has an upside that is clear if she has the desire.
- Allison Linke is a 5’11 2026 4/5 from 2025 Force MW. Allison had a nice weekend showing a very good inside/outside game for a current 8th grader. She is agile and strong so she can find success in both the low post and also at the high post. Allison has a nice feel for the high – low pass from the high post and she executed it a few times, that I observed, to set up teammates for lay ups. As she continues to expand her game and range on her shot I will be excited to watch her more.
- Diann Jackson is a 6’0 2025 Post from Example Sports 2024 UAA. Diann is a very strong young lady that shows some quick bursts of speed and quickness. She can run the floor and will work hard when she is on the floor. Diann does a nice job of setting good screens for her guards to use and works hard on the boards. If she continues to work on her ability to score around the rim she can be a nice player.
- Nikkel Johnson Nikkel Johnson 5'10" | PF Kankakee | 2024 IL is a 5’10 2024 Forward from Example Sports 2024 UAA. Nikkel does a good job setting screens and getting post position deep in the paint. She has nice agility and get her shots off when she gets touches in the paint. With continued work on finishing her post moves and getting squared up she looks like she can be a nice low post scorer.
With a mix of 2024 and 2025, and one 2026, players on this list they all have time to improve and show what they can do. I look forward to watching and tracking their progress.
