Drew Alexander Drew Alexander 5'10" | CG Winston Salem Christian | 2023 NC | FBC Blazers Red | G
Alexander (pictured above) can do a little bit of everything for her team. She strips the ball on defense, and she pushes it up the court with ease. She can drive the ball going up against any kind of contact, and she can pull up for a jump shot to score some points. She crashes boards going after rebounds and using these on offense to get some second chance opportunities for her team. She even showed off a solo transition three pointer making sure her opponents knew that they needed to do a lot more to try to stop her from scoring.
Miya Giles-Jones Miya Giles-Jones 6'1" | SF Terry Sanford | 2023 State NC | Fayetteville Stars | W
Giles-Jones can drive the ball to the basket, and she battles through contact scoring three points the old fashioned way. She knows how to drive the ball and dish it to her teammates for their own points, too. She even had a nice moment where she continue to dribble while being knocked down, and she was still able to get the ball up the court for some points in transition. She keeps her head on a swivel on defense making sure nothing gets by her. She is aggressive when grabbing rebounds. She closes out on opponents with speed blocking shots from out of nowhere.
Olivia Boyce | Lady Attack Elite | G
Boyce knows how to use her length to jump into passing lanes causing deflections and grabbing steals. She hustles back on defense making sure her opponents do not have an opportunity to score in transition. She handles the ball well at high speeds pushing it up the court for some fast break points. She knows how to use her moves with the ball to get her opponents off of her. She can shoot well from behind the arc, too. She can drive the ball to the hoop finding the openings in the paint to put up her shot.
Zahra Douglas | Lady Attack Elite | G
Douglas makes effective cuts in and out of her opponents’ defense finding the gaps. She hustles after loose balls making sure her team has a chance for the possession. She constantly moves her opponents where they don’t want to go when she is guarding them, especially when it comes to using the sideline as another defender. Her hands were constantly causing problems for her opponents. She knows how to take her steals the other direction, and she battles through contact to score her points. She fights for rebounds, too. She tracks the ball well showing off her ability to block shots.
Destinee Barnes | Lady Phoenix CBA United Rudd | SF
Barnes showed off her range shooting the ball. She seems to be all over the court chasing loose possessions and rebounds. She uses her vision of the court to know exactly where to move and how to move her body when she has the ball to get it through the hoop. She makes sure she is available for a pass in transition or to grab the rebound off of a miss.
Ava Davis | Lady Attack Elite | SF
Davis does a great job finding the gaps in the defense, especially close to the elbow of the free throw line. She had some nice jump shots from there on offense. She was present on fast breaks finding the open areas being ready for the pass and the quick shot as the defenders were closing in on her. She doesn’t hesitate to dive on the floor for some loose balls.
