Zahara Gerald | Fayetteville Stars
Gerald showed off her shot from behind the three point line hitting several in the first half of a game. She had some nice moves driving in the lane using ball fakes to get by her opponents. She jumped into passing lanes to grab steals and pushed it the other direction showing her IQ when deciding to drive or do a jump stop for some points.
Ally Guglielmo | FBC Carolina Elite Mayo
Guglielmo sees the floor well making effective passes into her teammates. She finds the openings for herself to drive the ball. She does not shy away from contact when driving the ball as she showed off some three point plays the old fashioned way. Her vision extends to the defensive side of the ball as she anticipates passes to grab for steals. Her defense was crucial late in the game stopping her opponents from scoring. She hit a big step back three point bucket to tie the game with under 2 minutes left all with calm composure.
Jayda Hairston | FBC Carolina Elite Mayo
Hairston (pictured above) was one of the main ball handlers for her team controlling the tempo of the game and moving around well with the ball. She crashes the boards going after rebounds and shows no fear against post players. She made her opponents pay when they backed off of her as she can shoot from behind the three point line. She played smart defense even drawing a charge as her team was making a run to take the lead back. She hit a big three point bucket towards the end of the game giving her team some life. She added to that with a nice drive to the lane just when her opponents thought they had a stop.
Avery Knapp | FBC Carolina Elite Mayo
Knapp showed off her shot from downtown. Her hands were constantly causing problems on defense deflecting the ball away from her opponents when they were trying to get a play going or even break the press. She hit a crucial three point bucket towards the end of the game letting her opponents know she wasn’t going anywhere.
