Prep Girls Hoops wants to take a look at some of 2023 Top Performers from the Palmetto State on Saturday. Keep in mind all week long Prep Girls Hoops will be covering the event in several categories. The talent was very good from top to bottom here this weekend at the LBI Opening.
Peighton Jambor Peighton Jambor 6'2" | PF Berkeley | 2023 State SC – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner) – TMP 16U
Jambor really came to play for the Charleston area based team vs The SC76ers Premier 16U. Jambor didn’t back down from anyone with her play in the paint and competitive edge. Jambor made plays on both ends of the floor for TMP. Jambor really hits the glass on both ends of the floor with her ability to rebound. Jambor blocked a handful of shots today in some big situations.
Jamera Madison Jamera Madison 5'7" | CG Darlington | 2023 State SC – Darlington HS – One Force (pictured on front)
Madison was a pleasant surprise for her Pee Dee area team. Madison was confident to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Madison didn’t mind chatting it up on the floor with her play. Madison really uses the ball-screen well to turn the corner on her way to the basket. Madison and her teammates only had 5 players her today. Madison dropped 17 points in the opening round game.
Korletta Daniels Korletta Daniels 5'8" | SF Westwood | 2023 State SC – Westwood HS – SC Future
Daniels was on the move all day long for her team. Daniels scored the ball on the break while slashing to the cup. Daniels is always looking to attack and does it at a high clip. Daniels connected on some floaters and short jumpers in the SC Future victory. Daniels really looks to excel in the transition game and picked up several steals in the process today.
Riley Stack Riley Stack 6'5" | SF Wren | 2023 State SC – Wren HS (Piedmont) – The SC76ers 17U Premier
Stack is playing a up a age group with the 17U Premier team. Stack has already collected on High Majors this past spring and continues to keep showing progression in her game. Stack can really change a game on the defensive end of the floor with her ability to altering and challenging shots. Stack has a soft touch around the rim to finish and great length with her wingspan.
Skylan Swindoll Skylan Swindoll 5'10" | PF Legacy Early College | 2023 State SC – Easley HS – The SC76ers 16U Select
Swindoll did all of her damage down in the paint for SC76ers squad. Swindoll has good hands and a soft touch around the cup to finish. Swindoll tends to stay down in the paint but was able to connect on some short jumpers. Swindoll always seemed to be around the ball and logged a lot of time in the game today.
Kamari Thompson Kamari Thompson 6'0" | PF Southside | 2023 State SC – Southside HS (Greenville) – FBC Carolina Elite Parks 16U
Thompson runs the floor well from the post position. Thompson works from block to block to get the ball in the paint while posting up. Thompson picked up some deflections today with her activity in the passing lanes. Thompson has a nice touch from the foul line and was able to finish around the cup today for her FBC Carolina Elite squad.
