Every basketball program can use a solid rebounder and a player that knows or who can identify with a role on the floor. Lets take a look at some players who were able to get things done by Crashing the Glass.
Zybreayziah Alexander Zybreayziah Alexander 5'10" | PF West Florence | 2022 State SC (2022) – West Florence HS – One Force
Alexander a athletic left-handed forward was great on the boards today. Alexander grabbed 14 rebounds according to my stats. Alexander needs to polish up her offensive skills but really can rebound the ball on both ends of the floor. Alexander is very athletic to cover ground and rebound the ball out of her area.
Princess Scott Princess Scott 6'1" | C Bishop England | 2022 State SC (2022) – Bishop England (Daniel Island) – Charleston Swarm
Scott and her teammates ran into a buzz saw the Carolina Flames. Scott didn’t hesitate at all in the paint playing aggressively. Scott carved out space and was able to rebound the ball outside of her area at times. Scott understands boxing out and how to seal down low in the paint.
Nadia Burns Nadia Burns 5'10" | SF Legion Collegiate | 2023 State SC (2023) – Legion Collegiate (Rock Hill) – SC Future 16U (pictured on front)
Burns was able to carve out space in the paint today. Burns scored just a basket but did grabbed 13 rebounds in a opening round game. Burns has the ability to seal and post up with her back to the basket. Burns older brother DJ plays at Winthrop University. Burns doesn’t mind playing the game on contact. Burns was able to work from block to block and really was able to locate the the ball well coming off the glass.
Braeden Johnson Braeden Johnson 6'2" | C JL Mann | 2023 SC (2023) – JL Mann HS (Greenville) – The SC76ers 16U Premier
Johnson has GREAT LENGTH and work ethic in the paint. Johnson must work on her offensive skill set but that will come down the road. Johnson runs the floor very well and it makes sense she’s is a soccer player in the fall. Johnson has unlimited potential down the road with more game time minutes is still a RAW talent.
Deyana Hayes Deyana Hayes 6'1" | PF Wren | 2024 State SC (2024) – Wren HS (Piedmont) – FBC Carolina Elite Hawks 15U
Hayes might of scored just a bucket or two today in the opening game vs H2 Lowco. Hayes really ran the floor well and rebounded the ball outside of her area. Hayes picked up some deflections along the way and was active on the glass on both ends. Hayes has really good instincts to be on floor in the right place at the right time.
Christyonna Jackson Christyonna Jackson 5'10" | PF Dutch Fork | 2024 State SC (2024) – Dutch Fork HS – SC Future 15U
Jackson has great footwork on the floor and moves well without the ball. Jackson runs the floor very and crashes the glass on both ends of the floor. Jackson had 12 rebounds in the game Prep Girls Hoops watched her play. Jackson is extremely versatile with her play around the basket really working from block to block.
