We’ll take a look at some of the exceptional performances from Michigan players throughout the weekend.

McKenna Ferguson McKenna Ferguson 5'8" | SG Byron Center | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Byron Center, UA Rise 2023)
Around the state of Michigan, we all know that Ferguson is a shooter that can fill it up from deep. It was her effort on the defensive end that ruled the day on Saturday. If her perimeter defense looks like this next high school season it will spell trouble for any opponent.
Madelyn Geers Madelyn Geers 5'9" | SG Kent City | 2024 State MI (2024, SG, Kent City, West Michigan Drive 2024)
Geers ended high school season playing some really terrific basketball. She continued that this weekend as she opened up her grassroots season. Geers had a 17 point game in a semifinal matchup with Sport City U.
Ashley Loon Ashley Loon SG Berkley | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Berkley, Tri-County Hoopers 2022)
Loon has been playing some very solid basketball since high school season. She’s a smooth athlete that plays very effectively off the ball. She works to get open and scores efficiently.
Grace Lyons Grace Lyons 5'7" | SG Rockford | 2024 State MI (2024, SG, Rockford, GR Storm UA Rise 2023)
Lyons was playing up an age bracket but you would have never known it. She was a consistent and efficient scorer all weekend. Lyons seemed to recognize good scoring opportunities and delivered when they were available. She really had an impressive all around game and it will be interesting to watch her development throughout the summer.
Mckenzie Swanson Mckenzie Swanson 6'3" | PF Bloomfield Hills Marian | 2024 State MI (2024, PF, Marian, Michigan Crossover 15u EYBL)
Swanson is a name to remember over the next few years here in Michigan. She’s an elite forward to say the least. At the LBI April Showers event, she completely dominated the lane. Swanson finished the weekend with 4 double-doubles.
Jaci Tubergen Jaci Tubergen SG Hudsonville | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, GR Storm UA Rise 2022)
Blowing up offensively in a state championship game 1 week, going off in a grassroots event the next. Meet Jaci Tubergen Jaci Tubergen SG Hudsonville | 2022 State MI . She’s a stone cold shooter from anywhere on the floor. In a win over MBA Select, she went off for 8 three pointers and totaled 32 points.
Lily Zeinstra Lily Zeinstra 6'0" | PG Byron Center | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, Byron Center)
Zeinstra put up some shocking offensive numbers this weekend. She had 24 points in a loss to the Wolverinas, 23 points (including 6 three pointers) in a 55-33 win over Bates Fundamentals, and a 21 point outing in a 56-38 victory over Sport City U. Zeinstra absolutely shot the lights out all weekend long.
Kendal Zeiter Kendal Zeiter 6'2" | PF Troy | 2022 State MI (2022, PF, Troy, Tri-County Hoopers 2022)
Zeiter is a versatile scorer that can get buckets with her back to the rim or by stepping outside and facing the basket. She put this on full display on Saturday in particular. Her day was highlighted by an 18 point performance.
