Abbey Kubas Abbey Kubas 5'11" | SF Dickinson Trinity | 2021 State ND – Dickinson Trinity – (5’11/SF/2021) – Abbey, perceived by some to have the best work ethic in the state of North Dakota. An absolute gym rat that will accelerate her basketball career as she plans to play for the Bison next season. Kubas scored over 1000 points and recorded over 1000 rebounds in her basketball career at Trinity. She finished her High School season averaging 19.8 ppg, 11.3 RPG, 2 asps, and 1 blk.
Madelyn Schmidt Madelyn Schmidt 5'5" | CG Kidder County | 2021 State ND – Kidder County – (5’5/CG/2021) – 5-year starter for the Wolves, the record holder for most points, steals, and three-pointers, as well 3-time all-state selection, it’s no doubt Schmidt is one of the best scorers in the state and why she has solidified herself as one of the best players to come out of Kidder County.
Hailey Quam Hailey Quam 5'11" | SF Shiloh Christian | 2023 State ND – Wilton-Wing – (5’10/SF/2023) – The 5’10 sophomore that led the Miners to a Fourth place finish at state with a record of 21-4 will be on every coaches scouting list. Quam showed off her basketball I.Q in shooting an efficient 55% from the floor while averaging an extraordinary double-double in 27 points and 15 rebounds per game.
Ezura Rainbow Ezura Rainbow 5'11" | C Four Winds-Minnewankan | 2022 State ND – Four Winds-Minnewaukan – (5’11/C/2022) – A talented athletic big that returns with 5 other juniors is set on having a huge senior year ahead of her. Rainbow lead the Indians to a 15-8 record this year while averaging 16.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, and 2.8 assists per game.
Alyssa St. Pierre Alyssa St. Pierre 5'8" | SF Trenton | 2021 State ND – Trenton – (5’8/SF/2021) – A true workhorse and double-double machine Alyssa scored 1677 total points and added 1134 rebounds in her high school career. Those numbers are good for averaging 16.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg. She additionally was very proficient in shooting 50% from inside the 3pt line and 46% outside of it and a steady 70% from the free-throw.
Deconte Smith Deconte Smith 5'8" | SG Central Cass | 2023 State ND – Central Cass – (5’8/SG/2023) – Another sophomore on this list and a huge contribution to why Central Cass is such a dominant force. Smith, an extraordinary athlete is someone in my opinion who could easily average 20 points a night but takes more pleasure in getting her teammates involved while averaging 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4 steals a night. Will return next year for the squirrels with an even more impressive work ethic and hunger for a state championship.
Elizabeth Schanilec Elizabeth Schanilec 5'8" | PG Midway/Minto | 2021 State ND – Midway-Minto – (5’8/PG/2021) – With a quick first step and ability to finish anywhere around the rim. Schanaliec averaged 16.8 ppg and, was a huge boost this season for Midway in carrying them to a semi-finals finish of the Region 2 basketball tournament.
Quinn Neppl Quinn Neppl 5'8" | CG Benson County | 2022 State ND – Benson County – (5’8/CG/2022) – A true combo guard that can mix it up from getting hot and scoring on the perimeter to clashing down low with the tree’s of the post, Neppl has shown to be a dominant force for Benson County come next year. Already hitting a milestone of scoring more than 1,000 points in her career the only thing left on her checklist is a state championship.
Megan Roob Megan Roob 5'9" | CG Richland | 2022 State ND – Richland – (5’9/CG/2022) – As a sophomore Roob surpassed the 1,000 point threshold and continues to score the ball with ease. She’s a zone defense’s worst nightmare in being able to release the ball from anywhere beyond the arch and if that’s not enough she’s developed one crazy fast first step to score anywhere on the court she desires.
Sadie Hansen Sadie Hansen 5'10" | SF Oakes | 2021 State ND – Oakes – (5’10/SF/2021) – A 5 year player for the tornadoes and all-time leading scoring in the record books Hansen finished her senior year on a high note averaging 19.8 points 9.8 rebounds 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals a contest. It’s worth mentioning that she’s an even better volleyball player. One could only wonder what could have happened if she focused on just one sport throughout her high school career.
