We joined Oregon Elite along with founder Gary Lavender and his talented staff – including Justin Duke, Jason Brown, and Jay Ego. With a strong group of players from the Portland, Salem, Corvallis, and Eugene areas we were able to see a wide variety of players that had varying skill sets through different positions. Here are some that caught our eye during our time there.
Sarah Lamet Sarah Lamet 6'3" | C Tigard | 2022 State OR 2022 6’4″ C Tigard HS
Sarah is one of the newest additions for Oregon Elite, as she has showed huge strides as an interior scorer with fluidity and great composure. She is agile enough to get to the rim through a few power dribbles and has the strength to finish at the rim. A natural rim protector who gets the job done with discipline. Lamet has upped her game and looks to continue to do so in perhaps a revamped role for her new club.
Rilyn Quirke Rilyn Quirke 5'11" | SF Barlow | 2023 State OR 2023 6’0″ PF Barlow HS
Rilyn was a late addition to Oregon Elite Gold and instantly fit in as a versatile selfless forward who makes her mark as a glue player. She can stretch the floor as well as contributes as a blue collar rebounder and dedicated defender. Quirke isn’t shy in the paint and knows how to use her body and physicality to establish position on the block. She is a relentless worker who looks to continue to add to her overall game.
Paige Doerr 2023 5’8″ PG Marist Catholic HS
Paige is another newcomer for Oregon Elite who exhibits quite a bit of confidence at the guard position. She has a scorer’s mentality as a silky soft shooter but also knows how to make plays for others with the ball. Reads and reacts well as well as sits in the chair on defense as a motivated and pesky defender.
Ava Prechel Ava Prechel 5'5" | PG Corvallis | 2023 State OR 2023 5’5″ PG Corvallis HS
Last season for Corvallis High School, Prechel was the traditional back-up point guard for the Spartans who set up the table and didn’t deviate too much from the offense. She has shown more aggression on offense as far as shot taking and looks to have more ability to create shots off the dribble. Ava already has established herself as a selfless point guard but now has the initiative the shoot it.
Audrey Kehoe Audrey Kehoe 5'11" | SF West Linn | 2022 State OR 2022 5’11″ SF West Linn HS
Kehoe made the transition to Oregon Elite as an all-around forward who has an edge around the basketball – whether it is as a slick interior scorer or precise rebounder. She shows great fluidity and confidence around the rim overall and plays with passion defensively. Audrey looks to make a splash and continue to add to her game and demeanor with Oregon Elite – the next development piece is her mid-range and three-point shot.
