First 5
- Alaya Carter Alaya Carter 5'8" | CG Prior Lake | 2025 State MN is an excellent point guard from The City Black 2025 team. Alaya had an impressive weekend showing the handles and athletic ability to get anywhere she wanted on the court. She excels in a full court game where she can pressure the ball on defense and quickly transition from defense to offense. Alaya also showed a nice jumper that she will use when defenders give her too much space in the half court.
- Myah Maull Myah Maull 5'7" | CG Eastview | 2025 State MN is a nice player that can use her strength to get to the rim off the bounce. She played the point guard for The City 2025 team through most of the weekend but really because of her size she is able to play the 2/3 also and take on more of the scoring role. As a point guard she has very good vision and is able to set up her teammates for easy shots.
- Quinn Arundel is a 5’1 2025 guard for the Force MW team. Quinn is an excellent small point guard that can score and facilitate for her team. She scored 14 points per game for the tourney and had a big game with 24 in one game. Quinn can score at the rim but also hit the 3-point shot.
- Erianna Moeschler is a 5’9 Wing from The City Black 2025 team. Erianna is a physically strong player that also fits well in the system employed by the City Black team. She can defend and play the full court game where she excels in turning defense into offense. With her build Erianna can score in a variety of ways in the half court as she can play as a wing and score off the bounce or the jumper, yet is capable of posting up and delivering there too.
- Tahlea Tirrell is a very athletic Wing for the 2025 EZ Work Elite. Tahlea initially caught my eye on defense where she was serving as a rim protector at the bottom of the zone. She blocked 5 shots or more in the first game I saw her. The more I paid attention I also really liked her ability to score off the bounce. Tahlea is very patient and will get into the lane and find the shot she wants.
Second 5
- Greta Thompson is a lengthy wing player on the 2025 Wolverinas team. Greta showed a nice ability to attack the basket and change directions off her dribble to find space. She had two games in double figures and was a key factor in their 3-1 record.
- Anna Filosa is a Guard for the 2025 Rockets Red. Anna was a nice force for her team throughout the weekend. She scored in double figures all but one game and showed a nice all around game. Anna was able to score on all 3 levels and find her own shot when things broke down.
- Allison Linke is a 5’10 4/5 for the 2025 Force MW team. Allison also averaged right at 14 points per game for her team. I really liked her abilities at the high post where she was able to shoot, drive and pass from that spot with consistent success.
- Colleena Bryant is a Guard on the 2025 Hype 2. Colleena had a good weekend and showed she can score from many spots against good competition. She had her best game against the best team, The City Black 2025. Colleena had 28 of her teams 44 points in a 60-44 loss. She hit 3 threes and 5/5 from the free throw line.
- Sophia Swanson is a 5’4 Guard from the 2025 Wolverinas team. Sophie was very good on defense where she was consistently pressuring the ball and trapping. Offensively she showed the ability to get to the rim and finish. Sophie scored 9 points per game and was another big factor in their success.
More articles to come from the Easter Classic. I will be exploring some top post players and defenders over the next few days.
