The frontline prospects in the 2022 class aren’t overly tall, but there are several really nice athletes and versatile prospects on the list below. There is also good depth, as our Top-200 is home to 43 power forwards who make up 21.5% of all 2022 prospects ranked in Indiana. There are some nice combo forwards who can play inside-out, even a few who can knock down the 3-pointer or handle the ball on occasion. There are several high-motor, tough-nosed kids who battle, and there are some athletes who can run and jump. Below is a look at those 43 prospects, as well as some added information and analysis on a handful of girls who have stood out since our last rankings update in December.

Our Spring rankings update isn’t a big time for new additions to the current Junior class, but while we didn’t expand from 200 prospects, there was one power forward added due to an opening on the list. Chloe Churilla Chloe Churilla 5'11" | PF Highland | 2022 State IN of Highland High School had a great 2020-2021 season, averaging 15.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, and almost doubling her scoring from a year ago. She has some length, wiry strength, and solid all-around athleticism, plus she has really worked to build her skillset.
Stock-Risers
Taylor Bowen Taylor Bowen 6'0" | PF Culver Academy | 2022 State IN , Culver Academy – Taylor is a nice-sized forward with strength and length both. She can play physical inside, rebound, and defend, but it’s her skillset that stands out the most. She has touch around the perimeter, plus the ability to use the dribble productively. She has sort of a European feel to her game.
Mia Catey Mia Catey 5'11" | PF Mississinewa | 2022 State IN , Mississinewa H.S. – Mia has improved tremendously over the last two years. She is a really nice athlete with some bounce to her, plus she’s strong, physical, and tough inside of 15-feet. She has developed some touch to the 3-point line, and she has much-improved ball skill and creativity off the bounce.
Kylah Lawson Kylah Lawson 5'10" | PF Columbus North | 2022 State IN , Columbus North H.S. – Kylah is an extremely long, fluid, and almost smooth athlete. Offensively, she scores it well in the mid-post and attacking the basket. But one big difference from last year to this year is her ability to use the dribble. She is starting to create more and run offense from time to time.
Jasiah Scaife Jasiah Scaife 5'10" | PF Muncie Central | 2022 State IN , Muncie Central H.S. – Jasiah might be the best athlete in the state no one knows about. She is extremely bouncy, long, and wiry strong. She is primarily a rebounder/defender right now, but she averaged 15.3 points and 13.1 rebounds this season. She is the sister of former Dayton Flyer Jayla Scaife.
Alaina Thorne Alaina Thorne 6'0" | PF Washington | 2022 State IN , Washington H.S. – Alaina has always had some intrigue to her. She has great length, fluid athleticism, and some bounce. She plays with a nice motor, she has a nose for the ball, and she’s willing to be more physical than she looks. Alaina continues to stretch her game to near the 3-point line.
Keep an eye on…
Jasmine Anderson Jasmine Anderson 6'1" | PF Carroll (Fort Wayne) | 2022 State IN , Carroll H.S. (Fort Wayne) – Jasmine has always possessed talent and upside, and she looks like she’s starting to put it all together. She has incredible length, bounce, and fluidity. While she has been more of a 15-feet-and-in kid in the past, she is shooting it outside more and creating off the dribble.
Novalee Glass Novalee Glass 5'11" | PF Brownsburg | 2022 State IN , Brownsburg H.S. – I really enjoy and appreciate what Novalee brings to the game. She isn’t flashy, more of a “lunch pail” kid, but she plays extremely hard, rim-runs, gets on the floor, rebounds, and does everything with a sense of urgency. I also think she’s a lot more skilled than people realize.
Maggie Keinsley Maggie Keinsley 5'10" | PF Homestead | 2022 State IN , Homestead H.S. – Maggie is another blue-collar kid who just does the “little things” to help her teams win. She looks stronger than last year, but she has always been reasonably physical. She’s a solid athlete, versatile skillfully, and she plays with a tremendous motor. She always affects the game.
Madison Kerrigan, Westfield H.S. – I have always been a fan of Madison’s skill and upside. My gut tells me she is going to surprise some people this Spring/Summer. She has height, length, and wiry strength. She moves well in most directions, and she’s skilled in the mid-post and comfortable around the perimeter.
Davina Smith Davina Smith 6'0" | PF Merrillville | 2022 State IN , Merrillville H.S. – Davina has dealt with injuries, but she’s another one I expect to have a nice grassroots season. She has an athletic frame, she moves well in most directions, and she has good length. She can play in the mid-post or around the perimeter, and her versatility should draw college interest.
